I muttered the same thing to myself watching it. About two weeks ago I rewatched the finals G3 vs Rocker again on the DVR and kind of marveled that in less than 2 years there’s only 3 of those players still at State. Life comes at you fast.
IMHO, the '21 NCAA pitching performance of Bednar is the single greatest athletic achievement in Mississippi State sports history.
I remember watching him start against Vandy, and kinda struggle in the first inning, and I thought OK he’s on short rest, if he can just give us about 3 decent innings, with our bullpen I think we have a chance. Then the guy just went ahead and threw six no hit innings. Lol.
I watched the video 3 - 4 times and I'm still amazed at the control, power and confidence that Bednar displayed in the playoffs.
Thank god he was wearing the maroon & white.

We was committed to Ohio State and we got him to flip which isnt very common in baseball.
