Not that a lot can be drawn from this, but it's not totally insignificant either.

Rush Defense
1. Houston
19. Ohio State

Pass Yards Allowed
24. Ohio State
33. Houston

Total Defense
5. Houston
14. Ohio State

Scoring Defense
4. Houston
9. Ohio State

I'm not saying it's all sunshine and rainbows, but maybe our offense feels like it's struggled more than we hoped/thought it would because we've played two of the best defenses in the nation.

As for our defense, here's Ohio State's offensive stat rankings:
Rushing Offense: 7
Passing Offense: 62
Pass Efficiency: 4
Total Offense: 10
Scoring Offense: 3

And here's Houston's:
Rushing Offense: 32
Passing Offense: 37
Pass Efficiency: 47
Total Offense: 14
Scoring Offense: 12

That's not horrible either.

I'm just saying that maybe we lost to two pretty darn good teams. I get statistics can be taken/interpreted a lot of different ways, and a lot of things go into making each statistic (opponent strength, etc). But we didn't lose to two slouches. We lost to two teams who have legitimate shots at being in the playoffs.

Maybe we're not as bad as it seems. That's all I'm saying.

OU sure did lose to two of the nation's best teams.
But this particular season, OU just isn't OU.
The next two games may reflect this....big time.
