LSU- Miles
OM- Nutt
AU- possibly Leach
MSU- ?

It's getting pretty ridiculous in the west.

Exactly. Tuberville would make us able to recruit among the big boys in the SEC West. Not sure that any of the other names that have been mentioned would give us that boost.

they will not take no for an answer from Muschamp. You watch, they are going to pursue him hard. They might get him. By the way, this 'coach-in-waiting' ******** that these agents have come up with, is nothing more than a way to push the buy-out contingencies normally associated with HC contracts down to the coordinator level. It's just an extra layer of contract ******** to have to work around and a way to compensate the losing school a little. If AU wants Muschamp, they'll get him.

I've been lurking a lot. I love all the rumors. And while I can't speak for all Rebs, I think several factors play into the lack of smack. First, like a lot of you I don't really see a big time coach coming to MSU right now due to the state of the program. Your best shot at that is probably Tubby, but he's not exactly in his prime right now. If y'all got him, it'd be a good hire, but he doesn't strike fear and, in the end, I don't think he'd come to MSU at this stage. Second, we've had a decent year, capped off by a big win, so I'm a little less interested in what y'all do than if we had just finished 3-9. I think you'll get a good coach though, and you're right, if there was a free ride, it's over.

I would agree.

I don't know what to make of Graham or the Oklahoma OC. I could see both having success and both not doing so well. Does Malzahn come with Graham or does he stay and become the head coach at Tulsa? That would help you and give us an interesting dynamic to the rivalry.

Dooley or Tommy Bowden, I'm not too concerned. I don't think you have a chance in hell at Petersen or Patterson.

It was there were too many Rebels posting here. Which is it? I don't post much period, and I know ya'll don't want Bruiser posting too much, so which is it? You do or don't want Rebels posting here?

are coming here to tell us who we can't get, they are scared. When we hired Jackie they couldn't stand it and if we hire Tubberville, they will **** themselves. That is their worst nightmare.

It's not going to happen.

Find something else to gig us with.

Where does Boise State, Tulsa, or TCU coach fall in there to you? Utah? Oklahoma coordinators? Strong from FL? I'm really just wondering.
If you define big-time as Saban and Pete Carroll, then obviously I agree with you.

Plus I'm trying to pin you guys down before the hire, so you can't come back and say "oh, he wasn't a big-splash hire."

Typical inferiority complex: you are more worried about what OM thinks about the coaching search than how it will work out for MSU.

I believe you guys were in the same boat we're in now when you hired Nutt. Don't discount the fact that Tubby could come to MSU and be a king.

you know the rest.

Seriously, it's all in good fun. I am so ready for the rivalry to be worth a **** again.

wasn't really what I expected. A good can of gas on the fire with a Tub to MSU move would do wonders for the intensity of the rivalry. His first trip back to Oxford with State would possibly cause a freaking riot in the stadium.

Just echoing what many have been calling "pipe dreams" on here. Tubbs would be in that category to a lesser degree -- I could see him coming here more than I could see those other two, but I still don't see it. McReady on Rivals says Tubbs isn't coming. I think you're more likely to get a good coordinator, maybe like the guy from Oklahoma. Not sure about the Tulsa coach, but I wouldn't call that a huge hire.

Having said all of that, if you get Tubbs, the Oklahoma OC or the Tulsa coach, those are really good hires. Look, I didn't think Nutt was a huge "splash" either, so I'm not disparaging. There's just a limit on who State gets, just like there's a limit on who would come to Ole Miss.

We just dominated you in every phase of the game, and you're talking **** to us for not talking enough ****? Makes perfect sense.
