Just watched the Upig replay. 12 needs to play over 28.

A couple of notes:
1) Can't fault Ballard for trying to stretch on the OT fumble.
2) RB for AK could have been flagged for taunting and celebrating after their OT TD.
3) We ran good plays all night, and the execution was only off by a fraction on a few.
4) 28 can't get off a damn block to save his cock. We need to put 12 out there if for nothing else to send a message. 12 will hit and does a damn good job on kickoff coverage.
5) Last play was a total CF.

I agree with you. he used to play good pass coverage, but after meeting the guy he weighs probably 180 soaking wet holding a 30lb bag of flour and only about 5 8. He doesn't have the size to tackle any big receivers or running backs. and i think 12 Thames?

It may have been Broomfield. I just can't stand a DB chicken fighting with a WR like our DB did when Arkansas scored in OT. Get off the block and lay a damn lick. Thames may be a safety type but I would take my chances with him beinga CB due to him being willing to lay the wood.

1. I have been saying for a long time. When that stretching the football out stuff started, some player was going to screw up and fumble a TD away. As luck would have it. It was my favorite team in a critical situation. PROTECT the football. Only reason anyone should stretch the ball outat the goal line is if it is 4th down or time is about to expire.

2. In 2007, McFadden did a damn dance in the endzone and no flag.

3. Yep! I watched the OT again last night. Again, Sean Furgesonwas inches frompulling downa pick on their first pass in the 2nd OT. Also, Relf should have made that pass to Clark for a TD on the 3rd adn 7.

5. Yep. I wanted to believe the rumor about the last play. We were trying to draw them off. So that is why Sherrod is slow to get out of his stance. However, everyone moves on the snap but him. Which allowed his guy to get around and make the play. Again, the game is not on him. The QB should haveexecuted the previous play.

6. Something I wanted to say but have held off.......but I got to share anyway. There is someHEAT in the Junction!!!!! I saw two blondes in maroon tops, black mini skirts, black hose, and heals. Son! It crossed my mind to take a photo but......I was with family. Anyway, if someone knows the girls of which I speak and has a photo.....they need to share. They make those Bama (Bear hat twins) look ordinary.

Broomfield's been getting trashed on here, how quickly everyone forgets all the good things you've done when you make a few mistakes. Next thing you know you guys will be trashing Sherrod for missing that last block in pass pro on the last drive..

Broomfield's by far and away our best cover guy, and tied a school record with 6 picks and 10 breakups last year. He almost won the Auburn game with a dropped pick 6 this year b/c he breaks on the ball quicker than anyone we've got. Teams are definitely throwing away from him moreso than Banks when we're in man if you pay attention

You rarely see Broomfield getting picked on in the passing game where as Banks is always giving a 10 yard cushion. But, banks does a good job stopping the run. I dare say if you combined the two of them, we would have one really good corner.

1. Banks made the play on the Knile fumble by getting a hand in there for the strip before Mitchell blew him up.

2. Relf missed an open Arceto on 3rd and 7 in the 2nd OT.

3. I think Mullen should have changed the play on the last play of the 2nd OT. Petrino saw the formation (5 wides) and called a TO. I hear the
false snap noise but Arkansas was prepared for the 5 wides coming out of the time out.

4. Mr. Obvious say "Great ballgame."

..if we found out Sherrod couldn't pass block at all. Or Banks couldn't cover in man to man. or our kicker sucked at kickoffs. oh wait, those last two actuallyhappened, and we did rip onthem for it. Sherrod made a mistake. it happens. the rest have large holes in their game, that opponents are taking advantage of. huge difference. Broomfield has not made "a few mistakes". He is a poor tackler. That's the kind of weakness that will always get slammed the hardest on the internet, because we all think of it as a product of work (of practicing the fundamentals), not God-given talent. ie, it's something us Message Board Heroes could do, as opposed to man-to-man coverage, which none of us could ever do.
