"I think regarding the evolution of football, it's becoming more and more flag football, two-hand touch," Polamalu said. "We've really lost the essence of what real American football is about. I think it's probably all about money. They're not really concerned about safety."

That tackle was textbook and timely.

It's even worse that the league would fine him for it.

tackle starting in pee wee football. The pro's are becoming bigger and bigger pussies every year. Yeah, those lineman are big and scary. But, hey, if you don't like it, quit.

The pros should be using that as an example of a perfect quarterback sack. No helmet to helmet but bone rattling nonetheless...

Wow. Doesn't get any cleaner than that.

Noteworthy though... noticed Mark Columbo jawing at Tuck... He's lucky he's so huge or that a** would have been grass several times this year. Likes to run his mouth.

Yeah it was a ******** call, no doubt. The ref explained his call by saying something like he used all his weight to bring the QB to the ground. WTF? Um, isn't that what you are supposed to do when tackling?

He puts his hands down to catch himself before the qb's back hit the ground.

And that call was bull... and the fine was even worse.

The NFL game has become a game of pansies, and college football is not far behind them. They are in desperate need of leadership that has actually stepped foot on a football field.

I don't watch more than 10 minutes of NFL per week just because of this. On the other hand, I watch college football from 11-11 every week we don't have a home game.

Goodell rescinds Tuck's fine after seeing a video of the hit. While I agree the NFL is quickly becoming flag football, they got it right waiving off the fine.

Well Fidel Goodell is not my favorite human being either, but at least he got this one right.
