Juwan Howard ejected...

[Maroon Eagle]

Power trash talk by the Maryland coach if true:

Michigan Basketball HC Juwan Howard was ejected during the middle of a 79-66 win over Maryland, after coming close to throwing hands with Maryland HC Mark Turgeon. Here's reportedly what prompted it. https://t.co/r54WoCs6dl— RedditCFB (@RedditCFB) March 12, 2021

What's the back story on that?

Fab 5. NCAA sanctions took away Big 10 title.

You can’t act like that as a coach.

Howard told his side of the story- he said Turgeron told Howard to never talk to him and Turgeron charged Howard. Howard said that how he grew up, you dont back down when a man comes at you.
Howard also said multiple times that he didnt handle it properly.

I deescalate these situations

Tom Izzo was Jud Heathcote's top recruiter when the Fab 5 was being recruited. To this day Izzo holds a grudge against Michigan over that episode, but to my knowledge there haven't been any such shenanigans between Izzo and Howard.

Turgeron definitely stomped toward Howard in an aggressive manner. All I could see from that camera before that was Howard telling his players to come away from their bench area.
