is going to be special. I like how he doesn't shake his head, when he comes in to do what he needs to do, and then pulled out. He seems to accept his role this year without any animosity. If he can throw the ball he will make us so much better as he develops.

Coming off the field shaking his head today when he went in and I’m pretty sure I saw it before as well.
And have you seen him be the first one on the field when a TO is called or game stop and encouraging QB1 and EVERYONE else on the offense?
Well you should pay attention to that because he’s a team player and wants to WIN !

Shut the 17 up about QB1. He is out NOW! We only go as far he takes us this year. KT is a future hope, let’s win now first!

I think you are reaching a bit here. There has been nothing from either to indicate there is any animosity there. I think what you're seeing is that Shapen is frustrated with himself for not getting the first down, and needing KT to come in. Shapen also knows that our priority is keeping him healthy this year, and a designed qb run is not ideal for him/us. Shapen knows what's up, KT knows what's up, all is good.

But that doesn’t make goof message board material

Yeah. Looking at them on the sidelines , it looks like they have a good relationship.

What I'm thinking and hoping is they didn't want to show too much on film before SEC play. If he is not going to be redshirted (which I agree with) - use him more.
I think you’re overthinking it. What you see is what we’re going to get. And I do agree he needs to play a little more. Like the role Tebow played his FR season.

Lebby should absolutely use him more. As you said like Tebow. And odds are Shapen is going to get hurt again as much as he’s running the ball. So get Taylor some playing time.

I haven't seen a Mississippi State QB pop off the screen like KT does, ever. It's like watching a 5-star recruit walk on the field of a 2A HS football game. He just looks different than everyone else. Bringing him along slowly will pay major dividends for State next season, but he ABSOLUTELY needs to play more. I would bring him in for almost every 3rd/4th short yardage situation.

Shapen seemed more comfortable running the ball Saturday. I think he's getting frustrated with all the yardage we lose every time he slides instead of putting his head down and going for it. Hopefully he can stay healthy, but I think we're going to see him take more chances running the ball.

I want to see him against SEC competition before I totally lionize him, but he’s looked like Cam Newton so far. Big, strong, and fast.

Shapen has to run for us to have any chance of going 6-6. I understand he's prone to injury, but if he doesn't run and pick up yards we have no chance of beating a couple of SEC games. Run him and let's hope for the best. If he gets hurt, play KT and let's prepare for next year.

Absolute BS. What an idiotic take!

Shapen has always been the first to congratulate KT after he converts a 4th down or makes a big play.

Against NIU he was obviously shaking his head at himself because he missed an open deep ball in that drive.

Ya’ll need to stop manufacturing drama.
