And then some Kanell groupie tweeted that FSU and ND had "played 4 Power 5 teams and Miss St and Ole Miss only 2, yes, only 2" to which Kanell replied "exactly" and then retweeted it. Well, I went and looked and those "Power 5" teams that FSU and ND have played are Rice, Michigan, Purdue, Syracuse, and Stanford for ND and for FSU its OK St, Clemson, The Mighty Citadel, North Carolina St and Wake Forest. You guys need to stop complaining about Kannell. He is a good guys that has carved out a career by being the Devil's Advocate to the SEC. There are 4 other conferences and countless non power 5 schools that love him, because he expresses their view point.
I seriously doubt that Kannell even believes what he says, but ESPN needs a balance to the coverage and needs to creates controversy. They simply pay him to the that guy. If ESPN offered you a 6 figure salary to complain about the SEC, you probably would as well. Just look at it as respect that we are in the conversation.
