Townes was always a smart great interview at UK. I think Payne and Cal did him a favor by forcing him into the paint, but also think we missed a bit seeing him bomb. I think Pope would have let him rip it more.

Did he even take 10 threes at UK?

I am cheering for KAT. He is helping make a real difference for kids in the DR with GO Ministries and seems like a great guy. I hope Malachi seeks to be KATjr. KAT is a good role model for Moreno.

My wife watches some show on tv, not sure what it is. Like a show where a bunch of young adults live together in a house in the summer maybe, in the Hamptons? Not sure, but as I was walking through the living room the other day, she was watching it and I saw KAT lurking in the background at a party. He was floating around just in the background.

I went to a Knick's game this year in the Garden and KAT had 2 pts and 6 boards in 29 minutes. Bam and co. from Miami ate his lunch (Brunson had 47 and the Knicks won). The very next game against Minnesota KAT had 40 and 13.

This, to me, was what was odd about KAT. Always likeable, but the highs and lows game to game were odd.

But man... he has really turned it on in the playoffs. I hope he keeps it going.

Ok, I got it now. I took my wife to see devil wears Prada. He was in that movie, at a party for the lady who owns the magazine. I was half paying attention, movie is absolutely terrible. I don’t recommend. But KAT is in it. I just asked my wife. He was lurking around. My wife said he says something but I don’t remember that, I just saw him in the background. Looks goofy as usual.

KAT having as many haters as he does is a sign of the times. Being a good and decent person isn’t respected by a large number of people. I’m loving seeing him make the haters look like the jokes that they are.

Thats not why people "hate" KAT or are frustrated by him. I think hes got great head on his shoulders, perfect role model. But over the years, kind of a passive player. Didn't always do the dirty work that was needed. There were the issues between him and Jimmy Butler. He definitely didnt have the best "on court" image.

But hes sure making up for it now. Im hoping he has unlocked something. It almost seems like maybe it was a little confidence/self-conscious type of play issues? But when hes checked in, hes amazing. He was the Knicks best player game 1 if not for the Brunso heroics in the 2nd half.

When he’s good he’s really good. When he’s checked out he gets really frustrating. I’d love to see him get a ring. That last game was amazing and he’s had a great post season. Rooting for him big time.
I’m so happy he’s finally getting some love. He’s been beat up his whole career way too much IMO. He’s always been really good.

He has averaged 23 and 11 for his career while being a “passive player”? He’s been top 5 in the league in rebounding nearly every year without doing the dirty work. He also led the league in double doubles while not doing the dirty work. The narrative doesn’t match reality. These are the BS narratives that his haters push.

There were issues between him and ringless Jimmy Butler just like there were issues between Jimmy Butler and the Bulls players and the Heat because Jimmy Butler is a garbage human being which is respected these days just like I was saying.

Maybe it's unfounded or unfair, im just saying thats the narrative around KAT leading into these playoffs. Butler isnt exactly an easy player to get along with and KAT is far from the only player he had issues with. But Butler is also cut from the 80s/90s style of players. So I think he finds a lot of players in this era to be on the softer side.

Either way, KATs proving a lot of people wrong.

If he can find the confidence that Kat had while here, he’s on his way to a great career. Kat played with everything he had every second of the game, big time motor.

I still can vividly recall how he took over the Notre Dame game in the NCAA. If not for him we would have never played Wisconsin. There were a goodly number of really good teams that year unfortunately.
