Slaps
Arthur Bryant’s
Q-39
Joes KC BBQ

Either of those is the sho nuff real deal.
Q is much more modern, upscale but great.
If you want old school, any of the others.

Joe's

Z-Man sandwich. It will be great for lunch. Get a rocket ride of flavor, but it won't make you have to pull over and take a nap or dump like a slab of ribs or something heavier.

Another plug for Q39, it's newer than the others but real tasty. Their burnt end game is FIRE.

Live in KC - Go to Q-39. Make sure you get something that has Burnt Ends

If you go thru St Louis on the way go to SUGARFIRE. There may be one in KC too. Arguably the best BBQ in the world.
