So many ups and downs with recruiting I don't follow it normally.I don't usually get into the recruiting circles but my son does. Interesting thing he told me just a little while ago.
Skyy Clark commited to UK back in 2020. He's a 5 star I believe, but decommited about 2 weeks ago
Even more interesting is that it was Kenny Payne who recruited him while he was still at UK.
Hope this info is right, but if it isn't,blame my son.
He’s asked for his release from his LOI to reopen his recruitment. Haven’t heard whether the yuts have granted it or not.I don't usually get into the recruiting circles but my son does. Interesting thing he told me just a little while ago.

Off topic but do you think if Coach Payne is successful this gets us closer to being a Nike school?Coach Payne bought up Phil Knight and I am sure he still has strong ties with Nike.We should have cut bait with Adidas when we fired Rick and forfeited
They have. He’s asked for his release from his LOI to reopen his recruitment. Haven’t heard whether the yuts have granted it or not.
UofL will not be a Nike school anytime soon, if at all. UofL has a great relationship with Adidas.Off topic but do you think if Coach Payne is successful this gets us closer to being a Nike school?Coach Payne bought up Phil Knight and I am sure he still has strong ties with Nike.We should have cut bait with Adidas when we fired Rick and forfeited our Championship.
I was thinking they did or at least my son thought they did. Let me get back to you on the actual release. He’s asked for his release from his LOI to reopen his recruitment. Haven’t heard whether the yuts have granted it or not.
As usual, over on raftards they’re now saying that he isn’t any good and good riddance. If there wasn’t a paper trail, those imbeciles would probably say that he didn’t even have a “committable offer”.It really doesn’t matter if they give it to him or not. He can transfer without penalty. UK won’t want the PR hit and lose him anyway.
I also heard Lands is trying to get him to UofL.If you can, try and pay attention to the Kamari Lands and Skyy Clark relationship. Lands is in his ear.
Yep sounds about right! Or it’s “he wasn’t good enough to play for uk”, “he couldn’t handle playing at uk”, or “he wanted to play for uk but there’s someone better and he didn’t want to compete for minutes“!As usual, over on raftards they’re now saying that he isn’t any good and good riddance. If there wasn’t a paper trail, those imbeciles would probably say that he didn’t even have a “committable offer”.
really? Those this kid and Skyy Clark both play for Montverde Prep
Hopefully Lands can help recruit Yohan Traore beings that they are from the same state
I believe I saw something somewhere like this I just cannot recall where. It's probably true. Maybe too late for Kenny to pull something but any high end player has little to no competition for playing time here next year so maybe Kenny can make some magic happen?I saw a report out of Sports Illustrated that we offered Clark. Can anybody confirm that this is true? This is the second highest rated player still on the board and he's a point guard![]()
Not sure if you saw my post earlier in this thread, but it was KP that recruited this kid to uk two years ago,so there's a crack for sure. We'll see...I believe I saw something somewhere like this I just cannot recall where. It's probably true. I’m not so sure. I suppose it all boils down to what you consider success. Plenty of wins down the road in the cow era but, a substantial portion of their fans want him gone yesterday. The college basketball fan is marginal at best. Fandom is tied to success. We really liked players staying because it led to success. If roster turnover is managed and success is consistently achieved fans will stay passionate.
And this is it in a nutshell. It's all about getting the right blend of players that have but one common goal. You have to bring talented guys into the mix,but yeah it doesn't have to be all burger boys.It is a delicate balancing act between being a “players first coach” and figuring out how to successfully blend that into the larger picture of what drives the university and its fans so that all parties feel like they are valued.
