Is the third leading scorer in the pack 12. Having a huge effect on the team. Good for Keion
Is that possible? Wasn't Keion one of the players that some fans thought was useless? Is the third leading scorer in the pack 12. Having a huge effect on the team. Good for Keion
Dumbass dug is own hole. You dont come to a school and tell them that the founding father of that schools sport is racist, then admits he hasn't done his homework on it.Is that possible? Wasn't Keion one of the players that some fans thought was useless?
Keion's issues with many had more to do with his off-court actions and words than his on-court performance. Is that possible? Wasn't Keion one of the players that some fans thought was useless?
Not trueKeion's issues with many had more to do with his off-court actions and words than his on-court performance.
You're right that he was scorched here regularly. But I'm saying that the underlying motive for criticizing his on court performance for many was the off-court stuff. Not true
He was the wheeler of 21-and 22 team. Every day he was scorched
He’s 42% from the floor and 23% from 3 while also averaging 3 turnovers per game. Terribly inefficient. You clearly don’t understand the game of basketball. Is that possible? Wasn't Keion one of the players that some fans thought was useless?
And let's don't forget his atrocious defenseI hope he does well. I’m pulling for him. But he’s averaging 17 a game on 14 shots. Which isn’t great. He’s shooting 42% from the field and 23% from 3 on 3.5 attempts per game. Again that’s actually horrendous that he’s shooting that poorly from 3 and still taking so many of them.
His saving grace is that he’s a good free throw shooter.
It is unreasonable for fans to expect these kids to just shut up and play ball especially when the issues of the day are things that could impact them and or their families. Players are human beings before they are anything else. If the desire is for acquiring players without emotions, the school should consider signing robots to scholarships. They can be programmed to respond however you desire them to.You're right that he was scorched here regularly. But I'm saying that the underlying motive for criticizing his on court performance for many was the off-court stuff.
And he was very inconsistent last season, without question. He's playing better now than he ever did at UK. And good for him, that's my thought. I wish him well unless and until they play UK. Then I hope he missed every shot and loses by 40.![]()
I guess the unpredictability of his game was similar to his coaching.I wish Brooks well. You never know what you would get from him. He would do something great one moment and spaz out the next. I like Brooks okay, but not someone you want starting if you’re trying to make a deep run in the tournament.
I guess one fanbase's junk is another fanbase's treasure. Normally, coaches get out of players what they put into them. Poorly coached players produce poor results. And let's don't forget his atrocious defense
Kentucky has had a lot of players like that, so is it the players or the coach. The coach seems to be the common denominator.Keion was just too inconsistent. When he was on he was great. When he was off. Woof.
What his shooting percentage. I would about guarantee that he is getting more shots where he is at than he got at Kentucky. Is that possible? Wasn't Keion one of the players that some fans thought was useless?
You might be right, but his performance certainly isn't worse than anybody currently at UK whose name isn't Oscar. Currently we aren't getting anything out of Livingston. What his shooting percentage. I would about guarantee that he is getting more shots where he is at than he got at Kentucky.
I agree with you. I don't agree with Brooks on several of his off-court comments or chosen issues, but like you said he's a fellow human being who can speak his mind, especially when people are constantly sticking a mic in his face. Whether I agree or disagree with him is irrelevant. He can speak his mind. So can I.It is unreasonable for fans to expect these kids to just shut up and play ball especially when the issues of the day are things that could impact them and or their families. Players are human beings before they are anything else. If the desire is for acquiring players without emotions, the school should consider signing robots to scholarships. They can be programmed to respond however you desire them to.
Some may have had a problem with the kneeling, but the people I know were more upset with the Rupp comments. Do you think it has anything to do with emotions if you ignorantly say they should change the name of the arena without even knowing who rupp was?It is unreasonable for fans to expect these kids to just shut up and play ball especially when the issues of the day are things that could impact them and or their families. Listen, I have my issues with Calipari and feel like his style is dated, substitution patterns have been nutty, and it is likely his time to go or very close to it. With that said, Brooks got a TON of rope last year—probably too much, like Wheeler this year. He’s scoring more at Washington, but still an inefficient player. He’s an okay player, but not a consistent Final Four PF was my point. However, if you want to ignore that and say something negative about Calipari for the 20th time, instead of considering he’s okay but not great, go for it.I guess the unpredictability of his game was similar to his coaching.
Fans get upset when admonished by a mod. They decry the unfairness of not being able to express their feelings; however, they don't want to hear about the concerns and struggles that players are going through. They will quickly tell the players this isn't the proper venue because it inconveniences them. Do they ever consider the off the court issues players experience that are way more than an inconvenience to them?I agree with you. Maybe so, but I'm not speaking as a mod here. Just giving my personal view.Fans get upset when admonished by a mod. I don't agree with a lot of things that young people say and do, but I consider the age of the person and react to them accordingly. My response to something said by someone in his/her early 20s is totally different than if the person is in his late 30s+.Some may have had a problem with the kneeling, but the people I know were more upset with the Rupp comments. I never will agree with the shut up and play basketball crowd, but if you speak out of ignorance or stupidity it doesn’t give you a pass because you play basketball at a high level does it?
so you are saying the Pac 12 is lacking elite talentIs the third leading scorer in the pack 12. Having a huge effect on the team. Good for Keion
I clearly understand and agree with your position.Maybe so, but I'm not speaking as a mod here. Just giving my personal view.![]()
My issue with Cal is less about his style of play and more about his coaching. He rarely ever coach players into better players with the exception being Oscar.Listen, I have my issues with Calipari and feel like his style is dated, substitution patterns have been nutty, and it is likely his time to go or very close to it. I don’t know, it depends on what you say. Some things there are no excuse for whether you are 20 or 30 you know they are wrong or right. This isn’t one of those situations though.I don't agree with a lot of things that young people say and do, but I consider the age of the person and react to them accordingly. That’s dishonest. You have guys like Jorts, Richards, WCS, Washington, SGA, Herro, Quickley, Oscar that developed/played better than their ranking. Not everyone pans out (nor do they everywhere else), but you won’t even consider that with Brooks. My issue with Cal is less about his style of play and more about his coaching. He rarely ever coach players into better players with the exception being Oscar.
Is that possible? Wasn't Keion one of the players that some fans thought was useless?
Washington will be lucky to stay above .500. They’re currently 12-8.Brooks is the kind of player that can carry a Washington team past the sweet 16 if they get a bid.
I was one of 5 posters that really wanted him to stay.
Led us to victory over the eventual national champs at their place.Keion couldn't even help a Kentucky beat St Peter's in the 1st round of the NCAAT last year with the NPOY. Kudos to him going to UW and becoming a ****** shooting volume scorer. He's right where he needs to be.
Washington is terrible too. He plays well some nights and some nights he’s 3-15 because he missed 10 20 footers. He’s 42% from the floor and 23% from 3 while also averaging 3 turnovers per game. Terribly inefficient. You clearly don’t understand the game of basketball.
