Don't know, but I am guessing he views his rankings as more predictive right now than based on merit. We certainly don't deserve to be in the top twenty, but based on Cohen's past and what we have coming back, it makes sense to think we will right the ship (or that it doesn't even need righting so much as for the sample size to get bigger). There are probably several so-so teams that have top 25 resumes right now that knowledgeable people 'know' will revert to form over the next couple of months. It probably wouldn't help his credibility to have teams moving ten and 15 spots every week until there are enough games to know which teams' over/underachievement reflects a small sample size and which ones are indicative of a team much better or worse than expected.
