Am I the only one who wants to kick that guy in the mouth? It seems like he just loves to suck that Arkansas dick every chance he gets, but when we do something good, he always has to discredit it in some way. Hell, it wasn't even until last weekend when he finally had us hosting a regional over Arkansas, but he only did that because there was no way he could make a case for Arkansas anymore. Now that their RPI is going up, Rogers is in full pimp mode try to get Arkansas bumped up over South Carolina.

Up until

this year, he never gave us ANY love. Granted, we really hadn't deserved much, but he would even dismiss our history and tradition. At the beginning of this year he started to come around, though. However, he's reverted to his normal form over the past month or so. Speaking of giving Ark love, dave and his buddy are on a crusade to convince the audience that they deserve a spot.

If we win this i do think we should host over SC. Better SEC record, swept them at their place, and went farther in the SECT. Our RPI would be in the 20s then.

That's because Arkansas swept their weekend series in Columbia.

But that was the second week of SEC play before SC really got rolling. Other than that, Arkansas has zero business even being in the same conversation as SC for hosting. SC has an RPI of 13 while Arkansas is at 31. SC SOS is 12 and Arkansas is 55, and Arkansas only has 37 wins attached to that 55 SOS. They don't deserve to host, even if they win the tournament. It's dumb that anyone would even be considering them.

I think he has been fair. In fact he gave us too much love early in the season

My only critcism of some of these guys is when they keep referring to us as the fifth place team and never mention the unbalanced schedule

Yeah, we may have officially finished fifth in the SEC, but that's not indicative of how we performed in the conference. We had easily the most difficult SEC schedule, and since the SEC schedules were so different from team to team this year, it's totally unfair to say: "Oh team A had a better conference record than team B, so clearly they are better." You can't just objectively look at a number or a record that should clearly be subjective.

In fact, here's how we did vs. common opponents in the SEC for Arkansas and South Carolina:

Miss. State: 13-8Miss. State: 8-10
Arkansas: 12-9South Car.: 8-9

And the one game South Carolina missed was against Vandy, so that could have easily been 8-10. Looking at this, you could easily make an argument that we actually performed just as well in Conference as both of these teams if you factor in that the schedules were unbalanced.

Actually, our history and tradition isn't nearly as good as most of us would like to think. And definitely not nearly as good as it should have been. Even in the glory years, we only made 4 CWS in 12 years, never played for a title, and missed the NCAA tournament completely 3 times (and barely snuck in with an SECT title when we qualified for the SECT on the last day of the season). We were the biggest underachievers in college baseball. But yeah, this guys obsession with Arkansas is sickening. He hasn't even mentioned any of their bad losses. It's like they should just get a complete pass for those.
