I have no recollection of his time at IL. Don't know why he left, but obviously wasn't happy there. Chose a program to transfer to that liked to run a lot and turn games into high scoring affair (that might have had something to do with it).
Though Oakland was favored to win the Horizon League, they didn't. I had season tickets for Northern KY at the time and followed the league closely that year.
He made it look easy to score in so many different ways. Put up something like 26 a game while being front faced the entire time. His release was super quick (reminded me of how quick Ray Allen's was) and he scored in the lane easily with high arching shots.
If he was in another league, not even necessarily a power conference, just better than the Horizon League, if it was less of a run and gun team, if he was a PG, he might have gotten a more serious look earlier as a pro - Jimmer did.
As a pro he defies logic as a 6'2 SG.
