hmmmmm. Interesting. And perhaps - though I wouldn't have believed it possible yesterday - relevant:

Former Baylor president and chancellor Kenneth Starr defended former Bears football coach Art Briles on Saturday, saying Briles was unfairly criticized by the media for his handling of allegations of sexual assault against some of his players.

During an interview at the Texas Tribune Festival in Austin, Starr said Briles was an "honorable man who conducted an honorable program."

He has been unfairly criticized . I have read a lot of articles on where many football players on a lot of other teams where their was accusations against players and nothing done to the players.
The police should be handling cases of rape. Any coach should cooperate fully with any police investigation but if a girl just makes accusations on any player, you can't do anything as it is a criminal matter. Until that player is charged he should be innocent until proven guilty.

Tom Izzo had 2 guys accused of rape, 1 admitted things went too far, neither was ever suspened, both coached by Michigan State officials on what to say to the police. Izzo is still a media darling and well respected on this board.

Oh, and lets not forget Rich Brooks scandal at Oregon where the victims said they reported the sexual assaults directly to Brooks who then recommended counseling for the players instead of informing the police which could have prevented future sexual assaults according to Eugene Police. No moral outrage on this one either and the allegations are actually worse than Briles.

Whether or not a Briles was at fault doesn't really matter anymore. If the Stoops rumors are true then there's no way UK would hire Briles with his background.

Hey your bringing facts to the table... were grabbing pitchforks on a guy who has done exactly what every coach in the country has done and is doing now.

What is amazing to me is how ludicrous a lot of the fan base is. Just simply out of touch with reality. They want to burn somebody at the stake but yet praise another coach who has done the same and worse and coached here.
Do not want Petrino because he had an affair with a woman and so glad we have Stools. :pray:

What UK coach did what Briles or Petrino did ? I don't know which of those two you were referring to but I'm not aware of any UK coach accused of what Briles is accused of . Again no coach at UK has illegally hired his under qualified mistress to a state position that exposed the school to potential lawsuits , you know the reason he was fired for and not the bogus excuse of wife cheating the apologists would have us believe . I'm positive there isn't a UK coach that's been in those situations but I'm interested if you have knowledge otherwise .
