This one is not surprising at all, suffered thru injuries early and often and that makes it tough to get any time. I figured this one was a for sure portal if she wanted to continue playing probably at a smaller venue. I think the hawks will be very active in the portal but I don't think it will be anyone that's in the current soph class as that class is very top heavy on our current team going forward.With no seniors on next years team I can see them possibly getting 1 or 2 plug and play 1 year players like Lucy and then focus on younger portal players to offset the roster.

I'm not worried about only one incoming. Swing big on recruits and then fill the misses in with transfers. Wasting time and resources on non elite recruits to develop is a waste. Many will transfer out anyway

huh??? So recruiting Ava Heiden was a waste? Or how about Hannah Stuelke? Or any other player on the team not named Addie Deal?

hahahaahha that's some serious revisionist thinking. They were not offered by any of the "blue bloods" and were either 3 or 4 stars depending on the service.
Good thing you aren't in charge of recruiting.

Agree 100%. Especially with Heiden being a post player. Over time, the WBB recruiting rankings are the least predictive for the big girls. Over the last 10 years, for example, only 7 players have made 1st-team AP All American that were ranked 40 or higher by ESPN, and 6 of them were post players (all but Maddy SIegrist):
