All the sports writers love the guy. Has been a fixture at UofL for 39 years. He’s seen some **** in those 39 years - the highest of highs and lowest of lows.

Hopefully he has been grooming someone for awhile. Thats a position that really needs to be manned by a person that has vast inside and out knowledge of your school's history. Big shoes to fill. Robbie Valentine imop would be a good fit . I know this position more than likely has a successor in place.

Just a guess but i’d think someone like Jody Demling would be considered for the job. I’m assuming an SID would need to have media background.

Talked with Kenny few times, just bumping into him, he was always friendly and approachable. He deserves all the praise he receives.

I have talked with Katie, Robbie and Jody in passing in the past few years and all 3 are very likable people. I think Katie would be a really good hire. She is young energetic, knowledgeable and a very passionate Louisville fan.

You know who’d be good? Howie Lindsey. Alum, media experience, treats people well, plus, I don’t think he’s at his dream job, currently.

Indeed she is. I think she’s destined for bigger things in front of the camera. Long tv career ahead of her.
Yell i think thats were she rather be on live camera'. I got one set up for her if her desires.

She is big Louisville fan I remember when everything was going south and she wrote that scathing letter to all the anti Louisville detractors. She would be great for the job and they could ad to her duties where she would be in the public eye more.

I know she played VB at Louisville, when we were going through all the crap and outsiders were dumping on us she wrote a scathing letter aimed at all the negative comments that came our way and it was published and read locally. I think she would be great at the job and she is a homer so Inthink she would definitely like to hear the particulars of the job.

Several great candidates; and Katie is one of the most qualified ……. but it would be a mistake to not interview Howie Lindsay.

Frankly, I believe Katie could rise to a position with ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX or ESPN. The ACC Network is unworthy of her talents.

The problem for Katie remaining with network sports or espn is that it is the boys club. Women in those positions with those companies aren’t treated very fair as a matter of fact a lot of them have been treated poorly. It just depends on whether she is willing to work through all the crap.

Not too mention i think she would be a perfect hire. That you really cannot find much pushback as it has with our recent hires. A divided fanbase she really does check every box for that position. Local, U of L former Athlete and worked as a local sports newscaster and various national and pro media. She be a hard resume to not take a serious run at. And it's my understanding that Klein will still have some sort of role with media relations with the BB team also. They feel they will srill need his experience i'm sure navigating the ncaa mess.
