Some other intersting tidbits from this article.Kenny Rogers son played high school ball in Birmingham, AL. He signs with first year coach Bo Pelini at Nebraksa in 2008 only to not show up at training camp. He eventually quits the team and goes JUCO.

Tuberville offers him a scholly this year to only pull the scholly after Kenny Rogers name pops up in the news over Mule gate .

Also, Kenny Rogers also helped Ryan Perriloux transfer to Jacksonville State . hmmm.... interesting

I wonder if he had anything to do with Masoli. It would really make sense why we nevery really went after him. You know that if Rogers had anything to do with Masoli, Mullen would not even talk to him.

Don't know about Masoli, But he mentioned Brent Schaffer by name as someone he "hepped" in the interview last week. If this guy is dirty, I imagine there are several athletic programs out there with some major puckering going on.

we didn't know anything about Rodgers before this incident so why wouldn't we have talked to him? We didn't go after Masoli purely because the risk/reward curve wasn't high enough for us. We have two decent QBs and we didn't need the bad publicity and drama. Ole Miss had zero decent QBs and needed the help.

I am not saying that we needed him or wanted him. The question is whether he helped Masoli get to Oxford.

Have heard that Rogers, in fact, was the one who placed him in Oxford. Paid to set up his PR website too . But since Ole Miss' gamble didn't "pay-off" like the barners has that is why it hasn't been more discussed.

We've probably had other dealings with Newton even before Cam. Masoli wasn't shopping for a new school until just this Summer.

Pretty sure we knew who he was then.

I'm sure people are tired of twitter reports but the following qoute was from Mike C. Wright off of twitter. He is da <span class="bio">Bears/NFL reporter for ESPNChicago.com.</span>

<span class="yiv1520258692entry-content"><span style="COLOR: red">"Just thought of it...since we're talking about Kenny Rogers. He told me he helped get Jeremiah Masoli into school at Ole Miss." - Mike C. Wright.
