I love Pope but this is just wrong. Pitino's first year we were lacking in talent and had some injuries to boot. But they played their asses off every game.

If this team would play that hard then the lack of ability could be forgiven. I've never seen a UK team not even try. Even Sutton's last year those guys played their best. This team will give effort when their shots are going in. If the shots aren't going in, they turn everything else off too. That's on the coaching staff as much as the players. Put the last 5 guys in if they will just compete. We are not competing. Even if by some miracle we could come back it would be a hollow victory because of the not competing.
There are disturbing things that aren’t necessarily about losing. It is how they are loosing. They don’t have a clue on D. They don’t go hard after loose balls. That just are fundamentally weak.

We could use Garrison, he could be really good at defense. Maybe if he quit thinking he was Kevin Durant and rebound and play defense he might actually get drafted some day
sometimes he looks like he could be pretty good. hope he comes back next year

Carr was greatly oversold as a player. He plays about as softly as Big Z.

This is a senior laden team that should be able to deal with tough times.
I think the whole "BOOM!" everytime a player was signed helped lead to hightened expectations.

That falls directly on the coach. I want to see him questioned. Effort doesn't start in year 2 or 3.

Pitino was an Alpha. Pope is a Beta.

Perry and Noah should be told to reach out to WKU, Murray, or EKU for next season.

Perry scores a MILLION points in HS but can't make all 3 FT's!!!!!

Little crap like this just makes our GLARING defensive liabilities game breaking!!!!

We MUST make nearly EVERY shot to have a chance to win games!!!

He sure as hell was an alpha when he played. How hard he practiced was legendary. Knowing that about him makes me want to cut him slack. But if this is how the guys play next season, it would be time to end it early.
No he wasn’t. He was a role player.

the first good thing to happen was sitting totally exposed in a zone and then we press full court man-to-man? uhhhhh
