I agree., because MB needs to step up and do what's right for the FANS because there aren't enough fans to force him to do so...step up Mitch...this is not going to work!
Serious question. Does this series loss eliminate Kentucky from the conference tournament? Even with a win tomorrow, USC now holds the tie breaker and there’s zero chance UK takes the series against Vandy next weekend.
The problem is we lost 21 players off the last teams , but the Real problem is we didn’t replace them,or coach them up!
Not sure exactly what it should be attributed to, but this staff has not recruited or developed the type of pitching staff that is needed to be competitive at this level. And that's not to say the hitting or defense has set the world on fire, because it obviously has been lacking at times as well. Hopefully the current roster improves a bunch by next spring and they sign some highly talented kids ready to compete early.
We're done. We might get two more wins. Might. So then we have to hope that Georgia sweeps USC and that something similar happens to Alabama.
Only shot is for us to win tomorrow, assuming that our awesome coaching staff has enough sense to pitch Zach tomorrow now that the series is already over and sweep Vandy next weekend...good grief , you can't make this stuff up!
With all the grumbling on this board, I would like a show of hands of how many of you played college baseball, and then the next show of hands how many of you played in the SEC?
What does that have to do with losing 21 players off the last two teams,and their replacements evidently couldn’t carry their jock straps?
Since everybody thinks playing in the SEC is so easy then just answer the question. Did you ever play college baseball? And if you did was it in the SEC?
You’ve got to be kidding me.Take off the blue tinted sunglasses and realize this program is going downhill fast. We’re the worst team in the SEC and that’s likely to stay the same for next season. We can’t get decent crowds at a brand new state of the art ballpark, but, yeah let’s blame the fans for why we suck.
Our supposedly “ace” recruiter Fanning is bringing in OVC level talent and Belanger is a joke.

You don't think that this program is in disaster mode right now? I'm also talking about next year and going forward. I think most of us are savy enough about baseball to tell that we are in much worse shape today than when Mingione took over. . But, to answer your question...no I didn't do either.
I haven’t posted anything at all this season due to a strenuous work schedule but enough is enough. We’re in the Joker Phillips era of UK baseball.
Honestly, if you told me 2 years ago we would be at this level, I would have told anyone to put down the bong. I thought after 2017, we have a baseball version of Rupp or the Bear at UK..... guess not !
Place the blame where it belongs, not on the players.
What you will have next year will be different. The pitching needs to get better, but as far as positional players, they need to be developed.
I agree the pitching and positional players need to get better. That won’t happen as long as Belanger and Fanning remain on the staff.
Like I said if it’s against the coaches/coaching then please direct the remarks to that and not the players.
And like I said I’m still waiting for you to show me where I called out a specific player/players.
Players are doing the best they can. It’s the coaching staff that is squarely to blame for this **** show. And as long as they are the coaching staff, UK baseball is dead.
They also recruited these kids which shows the evaluation level of this staff . Can't bury your head in the sand and that includes Mitch.
This is Law, and I didn’t say a damn thing about the players, only in the context of 21 departing players, and their replacements , so far are nowhere close! Don’t put your false insights on me. I’ve said more than once, that I hope mingione makes it, but the quality of replacement players and performance don’t get it. And 33, I go back to Madison’s time, donating money and work, for the resource starved program, where the head coach did field maintenance! So stfu about what you don’t know!

It's called "horrible recruiting" ...you are right in one respect....this isn't on the players . These coaches can't evaluate SEC caliber players and SIGN them.
And? They clearly can’t develop talent. You must have some type of relation to a member of the coaching staff.
