DA needs to look to pass more. Chandler set that screen and DA puts his head down and drives to the basket. Chandler is on fire from three.

[bbnkat02]

Have we been guarding the 3 ?

I’m late getting to watch the game

Yes- UF is just shooting well. Like they have been for a month.

[Zuma75]

Come on finish strong

[Seth_C]

Refs desperate to find something. Saw Condom shoving. Said nah, we can’t take him out.

[JimboBBN]

Keep it under ten at the break and we have a chance. Pope needs to have these guys ready at the start.

[Kantucke_rivals]

We really need Moreno, they're scoring at will against BG

[FilsonCat]

Can't leave points at the FT line. It's gonna be a lot to ask to sustain this effort in the second half. Oweh really needs to take his points when he has a lane. But fade away circus shots from the free throw area aren't his game.

[bbnkat02]

It is amazing how good Florida is at a school that clearly cares much more about football. I guess the weather is a big help in pulling in basketball players.

They care about basketball too. They have 3 titles.

As Cig showed at IU- a good coach makes or breaks your program.

[HenryMuto]

Well we didn't get the 2 for 1 because we couldn't get the DEF rebound so down 9 at the half.........not great Bob

[ala_kat2]

Condon: “He talked dirty to me

[mdluk1]

They’re hitting their open shots and we aren’t. Missed layups and ft’s.

[Zuma75]

Good lord … Air(ball) Boogie

[UKJenning]

Fland is the worst shooter I’ve ever seen lol

[Drogon]

Mo D said, stop falling on the ground you *****. get up lol

[Pensacola_Cat_Fan]

Not great but could be worse

[MidseasonTweak]

Fland lmao. I'll take it. We are within striking distance.

[CoffeeCat]

Fland ends the half with an air ball.

[Monday Nitro]

Down 9 at half vs dook..........

[FilsonCat]

Handlogten has to do an over the back like 10, 12 times a game easy.

[Noledynasty2490]

I mean with this team I'm not mad at only being down single digits at the half...we got a chance

Fland is the worst shooter I’ve ever seen lol

He seemed decent last year at Arkansas. Not sure what’s happened because I agree.

[mash_24]

Just gotta be better. Not gonna beat a team like this on the road making this many mistakes.

[megablue]

Aberdeen might be better than Fland.
Not sure, but maybe.

[MarkPftw]

Ummm..ball bounced out of bounds with well over a second to go. Refs say "Go to the locker room, guys."

[Seth_C]

That dude from Providence who decided to choke someone going for a dunk should be ashamed of his “hair cut.” Embarrassing doesn’t even accurately describe it. I’ve never seen anyone with a neck beard on that back of their neck.

[UKWildcats1987]

Decent comeback.

Why are Pope teams almost never prepared at tipoff though?

Never seen a theory.

[Cowtown Cat]

LMAO Fland’s game is such garbage.

[Runt#1969]

welp. we were down 15. got it to under 10 at half.

start hitting our shots and free throws and keep playing D. Make them work. We have got to rebound better to win this game.

It's a tall task against this Gator team. They got size and talent. No doubt.

[WCSPlayedWRInHS]

Proud of the effort so far. Florida is really good, have tons of skilled players and just constantly attack you on offense. The fight to stay in it and cut the lead to under 10 at the half is great work.

[BlueWorldOrder74]

Man oh man, too many mistakes. Had it to 5 and went full re re. Forced bad shots. No block outs for rebounds, missed lay ups. Should be a 3 point game worse case. Too many stupid decisions. Good fight, but come on.

[bbnkat02]

lol.....Providence is a team full of bitches. Powell with that "haircut"

[Drogon]

St Johns vs Providence

ITTTTTTTTSSSSSS!!!!!

FIIIIIGGGGHHHHHTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!

NIIIIGGGGGGGHHHHHHTTTTTtttttt!!!!

[cat tat2]

Not good but it could be worse, honestly, it should be worse.

DA needs to look to pass more. Chandler set that screen and DA puts his head down and drives to the basket. Chandler is on fire from three.

Way too much selfish play from a few of our guys, not looking to pass and not making good shot selection. Amazing as bad as we played and as many turnovers as we had that we are only down 9. Rebounding was our only bright spot.

If we protect the ball in the second half and we knock down shots at an average or above average clip we could steal a win. If we continue playing selfish and sloppy we won’t have a chance. Glad to see us fight back and not fold but overall a lackluster effort so far. Too many unforced mistakes for a mid February game.

[kyjeff1]

JQ doesn't want to play in this crappy system. I can't really blame him. Pope overpaid for the wrong player. That's 100 percent on him.

In this game, JQ would be massive for us. He would get a lot of those rebounds that Florida is getting and he can finish at the rim. That's 2 big problems we have right now.
He may not be the best fit for Mark Pope's system, but he’s the perfect guy to have in THIS game.

[BlueWorldOrder74]

Yes- UF is just shooting well. Like they have been for a month.

They’ve had a handful of makes that were wide open.

[Monday Nitro]

This is a Mo D game. Jelly's too soft for the SEC. Scratching my head why so many love him. Mo is the junkyard dog we need.

[megablue]

We will play better in the second half.

[Runt#1969]

LMAO Fland’s game is such garbage.

was that like 3 or 4 air balls this half ? Watch him go off next half. LOL

Lord forbid.

[UKCowboys]

Chasing 9, nice comeback but Florida closed strong.
I know some folks on here are jumping at the chance to kill Pope, team not ready, etc. Its all nonsense. This game is a tough matchup for us, we don't match up with the Gators at all. This has less to do with not being prepared than Florida simply having a lot stronger team than us. I am hoping we show the same heart we have all season in the second half and give ourselves a chance at a monster upset
