Only if you don't like one he likes or like one he doesn't like.

It's a blind arrogance in his naive world view which he expects everyone to hold. Typical smug liberal lack of self awareness and superiority complex.
I don’t listen to the show, nor have I bought the book. It’s just every single time that Matt Jones is mentioned, the same 5 or 6 posters hop on to same the same thing over and over again. Can you deny that?

“Blind arrogance.” Whatever, dude. I just can’t imagine waking up every day with political glasses on about every.single.thing that happens or is discussed in this world. It has to be tiring. Lord knows it’s ruining this board

Next time you see a thread asking for opinions about a political book written by a political author, you might want to skip reading it.

You could also skip responding to other people’s posts about me instead of just addressing me directly, but here we are.

Getting back to the original topic, I bought the book and I've started reading it.

I grew up in Grayson County so I was pleasantly surprised it was the second county covered.

I'm not taking sides and I'll try to read it objectively.

Like another poster said, I'm mostly interested because it has a story from every county in our great Commonwealth.

WTF do you think you are, God?
You just told me not to read certain types of threads. I just returned the favor.

You don’t believe in God, IIRC. Unless you were calling me God, based on your punctuation. Either way, I’m not Him.

Really? Is that why every show on Fox is the most watched in their respective time slots and for you Hannity haters...his show is the most watched of any.
I listen to Hannity 3 hours a day on radio. I started listening to him when he was on Atlanta radio.

But for TV news I watch OAN. Their 9:00 pm program is my favorite. I like and respect Hannity

Didn't know Hannity was the most watched.

Guess I was too busy keeping up with the Kardashians.

Back to the original topic (again), I'm about 20 counties in and so far I've enjoyed reading the local stories.

Some of the criticism of Mitch is based on facts, some are just opinion.

At this point I guess the entire book will continue that trend.

Matt Jones is a lot like most folks I've encountered in life: some good stuff some bad stuff. I'll listen to his show ever now and then. I used to listen every day. These last few weeks, it's been horrible with the constant shilling of his book. I know there's no sports. They have to talk about something. But every time the book is mentioned, I turn off KSR.

Problem is with you, you try to display this moderate calm “above the fray” political indifference in here in which you don’t care about politics. Yet when someone criticizes someone you apparently hold in high regard as an author, radio show host, or political figure, you then attack them and ask if they are mad. We all see through your fake ********.

Stop being a puss and answer the question, why is someone mad at the world for criticizing a book author?

“Problem is with you.” Ok, dude. Whatever you say, you’ve got it all figured out.

This ‘mad at the world’ things goes waaaaaaaaay beyond this thread. If you can’t see that you aren’t paying attention. It’s nearly every damn thread that politics is brought into the conversation. It’s tiring. It’s not entirely a conservative issue, though. Have your opinions, that’s fine. Just keep the political talk in the political thread.

I’m starting to repeat myself in this thread and that’s pointless. So that’ll be it. No one’s going to change their mind.

So before you use another 5th grade pseudo-insult like ‘puss out’, just realize that you’re shouting into the void. If you’d like to discuss it further, feel free to reach out on Twitter.

Can Mad Dog McGrath do just one commercial where she does not remind us that she was a fighter pilot. Never seen anyone, outside of Al Buddy who scored 4 TD’s for Polk High, talk so much about their past so much. Like her being a fighter pilot and always on TV saying “Hi, I’m Amy McGrath - vote for me or I will shoot a sidewinder missile at your truck and blow it up.” My goodness - do something lately that is relevant.
I detest everyone who uses their military service for political gain.
All veterans’ service speaks for itself. no need to sell it in political ads.

Jones and his co-author are doing an online podcast about each chapter I guess. Tonight was the Jackson Purchase area.

And they probably should have skipped it altogether. Main takeaway is - they didn't know much about the area beforehand, other than it votes Republican at a very high rate, .......and they still don't know anything about the area. Waste of time.

You can't argue with the Majority Leader's success in laying the foundation for a generation of judges, at all federal levels, to rule conservatively.
No...you can’t. He’s been very successful at that. What you *can* argue is whether that success has helped the state of Kentucky one iota.

Theyve used the platform for a ton of charity/good will causes. So wrong.

I had no idea she was a fighter pilot for real. I thought she was just the stunt double for Tom Cruise in Top Gun.

You probably just summed up the whole book.

I'm curious who's buying this. It's on a niche list on nyt best sellers, towards the bottom. My guess is he bought just enough of them himself to creep onto the list so he could add that his resume. Because there's no enough fans of his show dedicated enough to all buy a book and hit those numbers. And noone else would ever hear or care about this book

Also what little I listen to the show, he subtly admitted he didn't even write it. Tomlin wrote it and Jones basically lightly edited it.

So he put his name on someone else's work. How incredibly on brand

Latest poll shows a dead heat. In fact, even if McConnell pulls it out, there is a good chance he will no longer be Senate Majority Leader. Going by the latest poll in every race, it would be Democrats 51 Republicans 47 with Montana and Kentucky even.

https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/polls/senate/kentucky/

Same thing happened with Grimes. He's always in a close race until the end of September. He's the *** hole qb who wins. You don't like him until you realize you'd be worse off if you replaced him.
