Probably because the infrastructure and roads are bad there. It's a tough place to live because of that, especially in the Winter. They did build a road from Floyd County to Perry County which made the trip to Hazard a lot better but most of the other roads are still two lane with a lot of sharp curves.

That was a long time ago, and I was young. Very young. That name doesn't ring a bell. Some of my older siblings may know of him. I remember a few names of my friends, like Samuel Jennings and Roscoe White. I sometimes wonder about those guys, and what happened with them.
That was a hard life. In a hard time. My daddy finally gave up mining due to his back, and moved us to Dayton Ohio, then to Louisville for awhile, then on south. We moved where the work was.

I can completely understand. Alfred worked for National Mines when I knew him. My father and uncle both played against him in both fast pitch softball and basketball in the '50's and '60's. "Big Al" was quite a personality in the county. I can see why your father gave up mining. It makes an old man out of you before your're 35. I worked one Summer in the mines, both deep and strip mines, and I honestly don't know why is more dangerous. I quickly decided that I did not want to be a Mining Engineer.

It is scary. None of this stuff pandemic, protesting , looting will stop until November . Everybody wants to blame POTUS for this when he had nothing to do with any of . I BELIEVE COMMUNIST CHINA unleashed this on the world because of the *** kicking the administration was giving them by standing up to them. Just imagine if not for this Wuhon virus and the killing of George Kirby where our economy would be today . POTUS would probably win by the biggest margin in history. How can anybody compare what the Trump administration had going on before all this was unleashed to the 8 years of Obama /BIDEN. You can't because there is none. Just watch Biden speak sometime and think what it would be like to truly have him for President. Probably be the shortest term in history. Man won't serve six months.

Either candidate loses and the loser calls FOUL voting.

Looks like Booker only took Fayette and Bowling green by 4300 total.

McGrath outperforming her polling in those places.

McGrath up by 8000. Bookers going to need to do really well in Louisville or this is over.

The mail in votes were huge for McGrath. Figured it would be that way. She has no chance against Mitch. [laughing]

He needed a bigger margin than that.

Unless the remaining rural counties surprise us it’s McGrath vs Mitch.

Months more of this hag’s ads is going to be insufferable. Did you know she was a jet pilot? Did you know McConnell hates Kentuckians? Ugh

Neither have a chance against McConnell. But Booker polled better.

Obama lost KY by 300k & 400k. McConnell wouldn’t lose to a socialist democrat on a presidential ballot.

McGrath flipped Bookers 3k Election Day lead to an 8k lead herself with smaller county mail ins. They expect that to continue.

Several on twitter are calling it for McGrath. I’d say she’ll claim victory while Booker will want either a recount or try to get those 6000 votes that were tossed out.

Right now I see its 208.8k to 207.9k Booker but I'm not sure if thats correct
