Why would anyone vote for a President who claimed troops took over the airstrips in the Revolutionary War? You really think a son of a ***** that stupid could change oil in his car?

He doesn't have to, he is a billionaire. Plus, he has always lived in NYC. Chances are, he has never owned an automobile. Most people in NYC don't own vehicles. Since he was old enough to drive, he has been chauffeured, in a limo. Matt Jones tries to act like the average guy down the street.

This is a perfect setup for Jones. He breaks the rules that most people dont know or understand, gets called on it by BOTH parties, then uses people's ignorance to claim victim status. Liberals LOVE to be fake victims...

Pretty good summation of things right here. He knows how to pander to his audience and get them whipped up into a frenzy over something he did to himself.

Could Jones raise enough money to get through a primary against McGrath? Is there any possible way the Dem political machine would let Matt run in the primary?

I will be floored if Matt actually runs. Just ain’t happening. Meanwhile, UL Card fan Mitch McConnell makes a lot of UL fans happy by shutting Matt up for a while. LOL

This is what really annoys me and proves that he has only been doing this for attention because he is a narcissist. If he had gotten the support of the Democratic party then maybe he could run and have a chance. The second they decided to back McGrath and not him it should have been the end of it. He has a less than zero chance of winning as a third party. The only thing him running would accomplish is hand the win to McConnell on a silver platter. He knows that, and that's why he won't/can't run if he is serious about getting rid of Mitch. He's only doing this for attention.

The fact of the matter that isn't being discussed enough is that KSR hasn't been a sports radio show in a long time. It's been just a talk show about Matt Jones and Kentucky as a whole with sports sprinkled in. It became really political for awhile and when it started causing problems for them they toned it back a little, but it's still mostly not sports that are discussed. I only listen to an occasional podcast when they are actually talking about UK sports, otherwise I don't listen. I don't like Matt Jones, never have, and I'm glad he's reaping what he has sown.

This.

While people keep saying you should vote, I’m of the mindset less people should vote. This is the exact reason why. No one knows anything except pandering

I don't really understand this. I could understand it if Bevin was replaced in the Republican Primary with a different candidate that went on to win the general election, but I can't understand why a republican would ever be glad to see someone who disagrees with what they believe in win an election. Bevin said a lot of offensive things, but he has been a pretty successful governor with respect to policy and attracting business to the state.

Because Bevin is a bully and a garbage human being. Don't care what political party you are, if you are a POS I am happy to see you go.

He doesn't have to run as a 3rd party and has already said that he wouldn't even consider doing so. He can run against McGrath and would slaughter her in the primary. The DNC would then have no choice other than to back him in the general election.

So in your mind being a POS is worse than implementing what you believe to be disastrous policies for a large group of people?

If politician A has policies that you agree with and has done a solid job, but is a grade A scumbag you’d vote for politician B, who you believe has policies that you believe to be terrible for you and your state?

The whole ordeal is orchestrated. Jones and the Democrats knew MCconnell would do this, because it is the law. The only chance Mcgrath has whatsoever, is if people vote against McConnell instead of for McGrath.
Jones is popular, Make it appear McConnell had him kicked off the radio, even though it's Jones' own doing and she might have a shot.
Read the law Bill. Extra credit if you can cite the law.
The law applies to announced candidates, when did Jones announce his candidacy?

And good Gawd...the Ky Republican Party filed the motion that lead to him getting removed. I guess your conspiracy is that the KRP is working hand in hand with McGrath's people to help Amy. On second thought, they would likely rather run against McGrath than Jones.

They (McConnell's team) is making the argument that because he has stated an interest in possibly running and because he is writing a book about McConnell (which he could have done quietly and announced it when it was published just like he could deny that he has interest in running and then simply file for office ) that his show and book deal are somehow campaign contributions. Their case would get laughed out of court but McConnell has the power to make things happen and he was able to twist enough arms to get Jones off the air.

Not only does Matt adhere to Socialist Democrat doctrine he also believes in it.

I'm curious: have Matt or others proposed socialism, a.k.a., the public ownership of the means of production.

I'm well aware that Warren, Sanders and that young lady from NY are well left of center, but have they proposed the outlawing of private property?

Not a Bevin fan myself, although I find it funny that the teachers vote in the son of the man that put them behind the 8 ball to begin with. But I digress.

I do find it curious as to the MM hate. Is it that he’s too old? Been in DC too long? He’s a UL fan?

I’ve confronted a bunch of folks, including some in my family, to actually give me specifics as to why they hate him. Why he’s bad for Ky. Most can’t point to any one thing other than he obstructs the Dems. (Like the Dems didn’t do this each time they controlled).

I’m mixed on MM. I think he’s a poster boy for term limits. But every Constitutionist judge he gets appointed is a blessing. And he’s pushed through a ton.

Jones has an exploratory committee, it’s the same reason he lost his tv show. The book deal is paying him to canvas across the state.

The case wouldn’t get laughed out of court or Jones wouldn’t be off the air. He’d fight it. He’s using the show to promote the book, without the show no one cares about Matt Jones enough to buy a book. I like the show, but that’s the truth.
The KRP isn’t McConnell, it’s the KRP.

The guy needs to make up his mind, it’s real simple. Either get in or get out, you can’t do both.
He could end this today by just stating he wasn’t running, like he said he would for months if the DNC chose McGrath.

No, not at all. Because I don’t think Beshear will be terrible for the state. Wouldn’t be my top choice but I don’t think he will be a disaster.

I agree with nearly all of this. McConnell from 5, 10, 20+ years ago was fine. He had now just become a complete joke and a clown

Mitch helped get to utilize the Harry Reid rule for senate for SCOTUS and keeps getting federal conservative judges passed through so stupid liberals can't pass their treasonous insane Anti-American laws down legal American's throats.

He’s just saying that on Wednesday he had decided not to run. Now because of all of this he’s getting a lot of support that he didn’t realize he had so it’s giving him more to think about.

I couldn’t give a rats rear end about Matt Jones political aspirations. If he’s got UK info great, otherwise, yawn. No, I’m not directing that negatively towards anyone, just my take on it.

I like Matt Jones. He built a small empire around his fanhood. I wish I had his job. Woth that said, dude has been “thinking bout runnin” for like 2 years. Man, just decide already. I don’t think about any decision this much. And honestly, if you can’t jump in head first and it takes you two years of flip flopping to decide than you probably shouldn’t do it.

The ones who say "stick to sports" I bet would have a totally different opinion if Matt was a Republican.

I don't let politics affect my life in any way. I listen to KSR. I wear Nike. I eat Chick-fil-A. Live your life. Who cares about if someone is a Republic or Democrat. You are getting too worked up over something that hardly impacts your life.
