Who would hire him at this point? BYU is in a much better place now than under Pope. I can't imagine him ever having a meaningful head coaching position again. I actually feel bad for him in that scenario. Just when you think Barnhart can't screw something up any worse ... here we are. I hate it for Pope but this cannot be allowed to continue. It needs to end sooner than later.
