Good to see the Cal jock sniffers are out in force. Weirdos

Acting like a 3-5 Miami team is the same as a 7-1 Clemson a year removed from the Elite 8.

Clemson is one of the most physical teams in the nation and we are struggling with it. Not many teams have the physicality/skill combo on the interior that they do.

So many rushed shots, unforced turnovers. Kerr playing like he's never seen a basketball before. Almonor missing all of his 3s. Offensive sets aren't producing good looks. Refs letting Clemson MURDER us with some of the **** they are letting slide. Recipe for an ugly half like that. Let's see what Pope can pull at half time.

I'm confident we can win if we can execute and get our shooters good looks. Confidence after seeing that first half is not high though.
Unless They swap out refs during the half we simply are not going to win this game. Of course, it wouldn’t be the first time a group of refs went to halftime and mysteriously decided to call the rest of the game completely different than the first half.

Just not a huge fan of our bigs. Garrison is fine in short spurts. Williams is a liability if he’s going to put the ball on the floor.
The key always has been Carr. He gives you a real big besides those guys and he can do a bit of everything. I love Ansley but it’s just not the same.

You'd think Clemson was wearing Duke uniforms. They are not playing better than us. They are absolutely mugging us and getting away with it. Gonna have to catch a few breaks and find a way to overcome it. I think we'll be fine. Pope will make adjustments. He ain't Cal.

Games like this happen on the road to an extent. Clemson hitting a lot of spinning fadeaways that aren’t particularly good shots and getting the benefit of a few calls are the kind of thing that leads to even good teams losing a few road games most years.

Not thrilled with some of the things we can control though. We’re giving up way too many offensive rebounds, missed a bunch of free throws, and did too much recklessly driving the ball into a crowd and hoping for a bailout call instead of executing our offense. There’s a lot of room for improvement right now.

I know. They returned 2 of their guys and their still kicking our ***. Not sure how that makes it any better. In fact it makes it worse.

I'm not mad. I'm just disappointed and kinda felt this is what was gonna happen this year. Pope has his work cut out tonight.

We need to win this. Zags are gonna be even tougher. And then the SEC starts up. We can't afford to go 0-2 this week.
Zags won’t play this physical. No way.

We're gonna have a lot of these games this year. Road games against random SEC teams with floppy-banged ******** in the stands going crazy, refs getting into the hype calling phantom fouls, galloping 30 feet and flexing during charge calls against us, and a Uriah Heep-lookalike white dude draining 3s. That's life for UK on the road. Just gotta deal with it.

Also suck to be the first SEC loss in the challenge ☹️

Come on Pope coach em up and get them ready to run through a wall 2nd half.

Only 3 assists. Not really moving it when we draw the defense
I mean, we’ve only made 10 shots. Half of those were Butler and Owen driving to the rim. Hard to get assists like that.

We're ok. Pope will adjust. We've already shown we can. Clemson ain't Duke. We'll be ok.

Problem is, they might be better coached than Duke, they are more experienced together, and chances are, they won't lose some players in the end due to injury/cramping.

I'm starting to think the 1st half against Duke was the norm, not what we saw in the 2nd half. Yes we made adjustments and we stepped up, but Duke certainly unlocked and opened the door for us IMO.

We have one guy that drives me insane. Frustrating. Maybe more than one. I just hated Butler was on the bench so much.

And Ravech needs to wear his Clemson gear.

I watched a lot of full replays of BYU games after the Pope hire. They were so much more crisp with the zoom action, getting easy baskets off cuts, corner threes, zoom into PnR, pick-and-pop, or a three from the big man left alone up top. They also had a short, thick center who was really good one-on-one in the post, and we really don't have anyone like that on this team. I'm looking forward to Pope having some continuity and getting guys that really match his system. I think he did a good job getting shooters and bringing enough guys to fill out a roster, but we'll have better rosters very soon...

Refs haven't been great. But we can't ***** when we give up 13 rebounds to a goober.
I know what you mean, but the guy’s effort is pretty incredible. Any coach in the world loves players that play that hard. He’ll cool off in the locker room, I suspect.
