Glad to have a coach that’s level headed and not acting like a cheerleader. When it looked like we were going to get run out of the building at the half, our guys kept their composure and fought back.

And to think we don’t have one 5* on the team, (Garrison maybe)? Just guys that buy in and trust each other. Imagine when we start landing those playmakers, they’re going to love Popes offense..

So that's what a second-half adjustment looks like? I haven't seen one of those in over 17 years!

it’s been a long damn time since we were down like that at half and I still felt we had a chance.

It wasn't just you pal....like many I was just not used to having a coach make adjustment after adjustment until he found out what worked. And we haven't seen experienced players that just fight and fight in a very long time.
Yeah but I was the loudest one lol. I needed some humble pie. The cats proved me wrong and I’m so fricking happy they did

I hear what you are saying but to declare this team to be 10th seed at halftime of a game they were only down by 9 points was more like wishing them bad luck. The team hadn't played well and was hanging in there showing real heart while some fans were trashing them. NO EXCUSE FOR THAT.
All that fans at the game cheered their butts off all night. Man they showed heart and damn our coach actually coaches. Great day to be Cat

Kinda sounds like your posts when the game was literally only 10 or 12 minutes in
Cook, I said I can take it, cook. Kentuckys straight line D wasn’t great but I over reacted. But I deserve it man, keep it coming. I need humbling lol

Flagg obviously great but Duke dominated the Cats with him on the bench the last 7 minutes of first half.

Second half they ran their offense thru him and went away from team ball.

Bit them at the end.

Great adjustments by CMP and great grit from the players.

If Robinson came to play offensively, it would have been a 12+ point win!

Duke actually played really good individual and team defense for the most part. I know it's only 1 game that I've watched them, but the thing I dislike about this Duke team is they don't seem to have a punk like so many past teams.

Flagg seems legit, Maluach is going to be a load defensively in the paint for them, and the rest of their team just plays solid. Other than the couple of flops on 3pt shots, they played the way I can respect them, and that isn't the case most years.

I could easily see this team going to the Final 4

Duke has a squad. I suspect they'll be top 10 and favorite to make a deep run all year.

Kudos to them. Scheyer looks to be the real deal post K. He can coach, and he can recruit.

That Cooper kid will most likely be All American, Wooden Award in addition to first overall. The definition of once in a generation talent.

Interesting observation though, Dukes legs literally gave out at the end. It wasn't just Flagg, I mean all those kids looked beat. Our squad looked like they could play another game.

We won that game, and we really didn't play great. Missed a lot of lay ups, missed a lot of 3s, best shooter wasn't a huge factor tonight.

That was a classic grit game. Hung around, played tough the whole game, never looked great, but never looked beat either...won in the end when it counted.
That's why it's hard to win with freshman lead teams. It's not the talent, it's the strengthening and conditioning.
