I thought Brea did a lot of good things in the second half that didn’t involve scoring.
So happy for Coach Pope this early on getting a win against the #6 team and it be Duke, of all rivals! What a great win for the BBN! Go ‘Cats!
There were only a select few who were only here to see Kentucky lose so they could tell us that Pope isn't ready.
Pope has only coached three games at UK and already has a signature win.
Just wait until UK is 7-0, ranked top 5 in the nation, heading into Clemson and coming off a Caleb Wilson commitment.
No doubt. As I said earlier, this game in the big picture won’t matter much (clearly much more awesome to win!) and each team will learn a lot. Duke will learn that others have to work for Flagg instead of letting him put everything on his shoulders. They are an excellent team, just like ours.
We are going to need to find our Reed Sheppard for end of games FT shooting. I don't have a clue who are our best FT shooters are even.
UK will be top 5 by the time we head down to Clemson. We have four VERY winnable games on the horizon.

When’s the last big time recruit to have this much cramping/cardio issues though? He had major cramping issues in his first 2 games before this too against Maine and West Point

The defense was a night and day improvement in the second half, and is largely what won us that game. I love the toughness our guys showed, and Pope aced it with his in game adjustments for his first big game here. It’s a great feeling all around after what we struggled through over the last few years.
