Because that's Stoops style. He likes to play deep coverage and keep the play in front. It works if you destroy the offense on the LOS. Problem is we have a terrible defensive line that can't do what Florida State's did and Stoops can't adjust.

Apparently our awesome secondary isn't good enough to cover at the line. Or we have terrible coaches coaching a terrible game because they're pathetic excuses with a refusal to make adjustments at halftime.

Gran is also being very conservative tonight. He's trying not to let his QB make mistakes. Again that will work as long as the defense is getting stops. Once that stops happening your offense needs to start scoring as it's main objective instead of "holding the ball" as it's objective.

We need to open up the offense the second half. Enough with the hand off to Boom to run 1 yd into the middle. Our run plays just develop so slow and Boom can't run through anybody.
