It’s not good knowing that UT shot the ball terribly, we shot the ball well, their PG goes out, we were up by 8, and now are losing at half. That just isn’t good.

We don’t create enough turnovers to lead to easy buckets. We allow too many offensive rebounds. We don’t have a playmaker on the entire roster. Just overall not a good team. Solid, but not good.
Well, he is 5th in the NCAA in assists. But we actually would be better off with him in there as he is 1/8 tonight. The announcers aren’t taking about the awful shooting night he’s having.
Such an awful group at rebounding that its tied at 21 rbs. Its obvious the fouls on Williams and our guys wearing down is why late in the half tenn was able to get to the balls and we didnt.
Off rebounding is 8 them to us 4.

They both and can shoot the lights out and Chandler can't shoot at all, IMO. UK needs confident shooters who know how to win ... shooting the ball. That's all these two did they're entire HS careers.
So was whatever lineup we had in the last 3+ minutes. I’m not saying they shoudln’t do better. But people are ragging on the subs when some of the other guys who should be relied upon for a lot more than guys who are being forced into minutes didn’t do much better.
Chandler played better defense than half the team. Hes offensively challenged but he’s physically able to hang in a game like this.
Brea is a massive liability if he isn’t hitting 5+ 3s.
Garrison is too big and athletic to no rebound and to be this poor defensively.
Statistically, Perry, Brea, Garrison are our only negative +- defensive players over the course of the year
Let's not go blaming the refs. If you really watch the replay, we are fouling and grabbing. I know you think we should never get a foul called against us but damn man, our slowness and inability stay in front of a TN kid movig on a drive is our problem tonight and EVERY damn night. If you can't move your damn feet, you commit fouls. The world is not against us nor are the refs. We can't or don't want to play real defense. This is on our coaching staff because it has not improved since first game of season. I thinkall we practice is 3 point shooting. We are damn good on 3 point shots but youdon't see us drawing fouls driving the ball. We will never get fouled as much as we foul if we don't take the ball to the rack, and we don't. We camp on the 3 point line.
This kind of feels like those games where we play a team that comes out hot from the 3.. but kind of cools off as we settle in for the 2nd half. Except, it feels reversed where we're that other team lol. Hope he can stay in it.
Spirited start, but not maintaining that energy level really hurt us in the final 3-4 minutes. We’re definitely still in the game, which I would have taken before tip-off, but we just don’t have the level of talent that can afford to take plays off in a game like this. We need to stay focused for a full 20 minutes if we want a shot to actually win this.
There is one thing this team could learn from Cal. Rebound with two hands and stop tipping, that is the difference in the first half. Second chance points from tipped balls.
They have at least 3 three pointers after several offensive rebounds, if we can’t stop that, it’s over. It’s one and out for us, that’s the way it needs to be for them for us to have a chance to win this game. This comes up every game, between turnovers and lack of rebounding, we can’t win close games.
If you can’t teach D or inspire guys to play it, you don’t last. Can’t give up so many wide open looks, layups, and offensive rebounds.
Also have huge issues with Pope’s substitutions, and Jaxon being on the bench after a media timeout. Our possessions without him - 2 Oweh turnovers.
Right? We are down 2.5 players, and these dudes are complaining about substitution patterns. Smh
I think Mark Pope sees and knows more than any of the "coaches" on here.
Disagree ... in today's game, you have to play skilled players that can shoot. Other aspects of their games will develop over time but both can shoot and if UK has a chance tonight, they need shooters. JMO.
I mean UT puts their hands all over our ballhandlers and it is not being called.
