Terrible comparison. Are you actually pretending that this years UK team is like the 2012 UNC team and we are the 2012 duke in that scenario? Totally ridiculous. Youre really reaching.
So if UNC had won that game last night youd still be saying Kentucky is that much better. And you actually watched the game. Thats scary.
It was a great game, and both teams played at a high level (on offense anyway). No shame in losing that game. That said, Duke catches hell from THR anytime we lose, no matter the situation, so Heel fans don't expect an easy time over here on DI. And yes, most of us Duke fans know that UK or UNC will be a handful for Duke...although I like our chances quite nicely.

Believe me, we don't expect sympathy. I only disagree with those who say we aren't a top 10 team.
I think you guys are Top 10 but I don't think you guys are Top 5. UNC is capable of winning it all and beating anyone but my personal opinion is they are not Top 5. If I was going to bet on the UNC/Duke game I feel a lot more comfortable betting on Duke but as we all know anything can happen in the rivalry.
Not to get sidetracked but don't you play most games without Hicks? because of foul trouble? And as much as it sucks, isn't it about time to label Pinson as injury prone, as in he if more likely to be hurt then 100% healthy?
Don't take that as me hoping he is injured for the rest of his career, because that can not be further from the truth. I hope he fully recovers and never gets hurt again but its looking like he is just one of those guys who can never truly stay healthy.
"Fact" is you ARE making "excuses." Hindsight is 20-20 and so easy NOW after the L to make the case for Theo's D being the difference. Perhaps Roy should have had a HEALTHY Theo on the court for his D on Nova's final possession too! Point is you had the chance as I said to put em almost assuredly away when you got the lead, and Roy chose not to call a time out when ball was tapped out by Maye....I know you were celebrating like the scene on the UNC bench and thinking you were on the verge of a win before Justin missed the FT that would almost assuredly set-up OT at worst.
In addition even if Theo the "lockdown defender" had played, there's the counterpoint Fox could have simply scored more to offset the difference....

Our guards may not be able to put that much pressure on UKs guards that's for sure, but I'm telling you now, if Monk doesn't score 60 points they will be in for a long night with us. That's the problem with UK, other than Monk they're not that great offensively. Duke however, has so many weapons UK wouldn't know what to do. Amile, Grayson, Luke, Jayson, and Frank can explode at any point for huge games. Not to mention if Giles comes back.....UK doesn't have the defense to stop every one of our guys and after seeing their defense the past couple games I strongly believe it would take a miracle from Monk to beat us.
We aren't randomly coming on here to rub it in anyone's face how good we are. UK and unc just played a pretty epic game. There's going to be discussion as to how good each team is. It's a free country last time I checked.

I don't see you dropping much at all. Maybe switch places with UK. I can't see UK moving ahead of Duke either. Until some of the top teams start losing the rankings should not change. As most of us agree it's not that big of a deal right now. It's really for fan base ego's. I'm very comfortable with where Duke is ranked. OFC

Its a Kentucky v. UNC thread, what else would people expect other than UK and UNC fans coming over and defending their team? Considering that we have the most recent title and that we are generally regarded as the best team in the country when healthy, no one should feel threatened with other fans' presence. Plus, it gets a little boring when its just Duke people agreeing on everything...
