Some of these folks in here that think Vandy isn't good needs to put down the sauce
I understand stealing minutes, but dude had Butler and Oweh on the bench and had Noah, Chandler and Perry in at the same time. That lost us this game. You cannot play those guys at the sane time. This is the SEC, not dome mid Major league.
Vandy's quickness and desire to win is the difference. The sole reason that our defense is so bad is we are slow footed and not quick enough to stay in front of an offensive player that is quick. They reach and foul. Luckily today the refs are not calling our grab and holds on a driving Vandy player. The defense will be fixed with recruiting quicker and more lengthly kids. We have always heard, "you can't coach speed," well you really can't coach slowness. A match up zone would stop some of the penetration our opponents seem to be able to do at ease. We can't play tight on the 3 pt line because of our lack of quickness to stop the penetration.

Noah needs to be spelling Amari and Brandon, for fatigue OR mental reasons. Noah is better than both of them IMO. Chandler isn't there mentally, and Perry is too slow (can knock down the three unguarded).

I’m not walking it back. What I was trying to say, and failed to state clearly, was that all the emphasis the UK staff placed on studying fouls recently to better understand how the SEC is being called, is out the window for this game. They are really letting them play. We just didn’t expect or prepare for that. Just my $.02
