My reasoning.


- Auburn, Arky, and Ole Miss just aren't that great.
-They get a bye week before our game which is definitely an advantage to prepare for the air raid.
-7 redshirt seniors in the secondary 2 deep.
-Bob Stoops probably has nothing better to do than to help his brother Mark prep for Leach. Bob knows Leach as well as anyone.

OM and Ark are pretty even IMO. Their game next week should tell us a lot.

What we saw yesterday is that ole miss can't win at the line of scrimmage. That does not bode well against a physical team like Arkansas who is going to run the ball, control the clock, and keep their offense off the field.

All we really saw is they can't win at the line of scrimmage against Alabama. I'm very hesitant to draw any conclusions about a team based on their performance vs the Tide

Arkansas is physical up front. Probably one of the most physical. Ole Miss is soft, especially on the defensive front. I don't think what we saw from a physicality standpoint will be unique to Alabama. Ole Miss can and will get bullied quite a bit up front.

After that win over Florida it gets tricky. Mullen is good at beating teams when they're favored. And also, Kentucky was good enough to overcome over 100 yards in penalties. Now they've got all the momentum and they're sky high.

Arkansas is physical up front. Probably one of the most physical. Ole Miss is soft, especially on the defensive front. I don't think what we saw from a physicality standpoint will be unique to Alabama. Ole Miss can and will get bullied quite a bit up front.

You wouldn't think Arkansas was remotely physical if you based it on their performance vs Georgia yesterday. Gashed on D by UGAs running backs and piled up 160 yards on O.

Ole Miss may well be very soft, but using the Alabama game as a barometer probably doesn't make sense.

Florida almost doubled them in total offense. That game says a lot more about Dan’s game management than it does about Kentucky.

Kentucky is basically the Iowa of the SEC under Stoops.

They play good defense, don’t make mistakes, and take advantage of the opponent’s screw ups. They are 4-0 in one possession games this year, and I’m pretty sure their record in one score games in the last five years is crazy good.

That’s kind of their identity.

Good post, I’ll say Iowa has one advantage/difference. Iowa grows 300 pound lineman on trees for a state of 3 million. German/polish farmers up there put out some real good football players for a small state. Plenty of Iowa tight ends, linebackers and lineman in the nfl

What that tells me is they’re not as good as their record. 4-0 in close games is not sustainable. Everyone’s record over time trends towards .500 in close games. Quick check shows they were 1-1 last year and 2-2 in 2019 in close games.

Nah. Their offense is trash.

I agree. They really aren’t that good. We should beat them in Starkville.
