Hadn't seen anybody else say much about it, and maybe I'm just peeved because it cost us 2 runs in the first game Saturday, but I don't know if I've ever seen anything as goofy as KY sticking up a high fence right in the RF power alley just sitting all by its lonesome out there. I've seen dead CF walls and I've seen walls that stretch from the foul line out to a certain point (like Fenway) but I've never seen a billboard type wall just stuck in the middle of about a 25 feet wide outfield fence section like KY had in RF. Just seemed so totally random as it didn't even extend over to the foul pole. So if you hit the ball toward the RF foul line or if you hit the ball between CF and RF if was significantly easier to hit a HR than if you hit the ball directly into RF. I mean was KY so hurting for real estate that they had to have a short fence in all of RF and then throw that monstrocity up? Guess everyone is entitled to their own ball park configuration within reason but it was still totally weird and random.

It's their old scoreboard covered up -- It just hasn't been removed(yet).

The Legislature recently approved bonding authority of $110MM for improvements to Commonwealth Stadium. Unfortunately, a new baseball stadium did not make the cut.
