Kevin Wilson > Chuck Long?

The last Oklahoma offensive coordinator to get a head coaching position was Chuck Long at San Diego State. That didn't work out too well. Now, I'm not saying Wilson would be a clone of Chuck Long or that Oklahoma offensive coordinators are unfit to coach at the Division 1 level. After all, Long's predecessor, Mark Mangino, has done remarkably well at Kansas as of late. But I worry about these top assistants who have thrived at places like Oklahoma and Texas where the talent has always been plentiful.

The thing that makes me think Wilson is different is that he led Northwestern to the number 3 offense in the country, that seems like a talent base closer to what we would have.
