Jaquez Keys is a product of Ironton, OH. He was offered a scholarship by Coach Marrow as a RB in our 2023 class. For months he was considered a lean to WI. Late in the cycle, he committed to WF. When he got to Winston Salem, they made a LB out of him. Apparently he wasn't happy there.

In our 2023 class, UK signed Jamarion Wilcox. It is likely that UK's coaches preferred Wilcox to Keys and passed on Keys when the moment of decision arrived.

Apparently Keys is a W/O now. We know little about factors behind the transfer. We don't know if our coaches now view Keys as a RB or as an interior LB. We don't need more RBs currently, but we will need more RBs after this season. It's an interesting story to follow. We will see if anything comes of it.

Im pretty sure he is on campus. The guy that originally broke said UK was going to try him at RB. He is a transfer so most likely has to sit out this year, but will be a RS either way

So did he leave Wake because of the change to LB'er? It does sound like that is where his future is and we have a need there.

Being from Ashland I have seen him play a few times. He is a strong powerful runner in the mold of Snell or C-Rod. Good speed not great and a solid LB. The LB I would like to prey away from Ohio State and ex Ironton Tiger is Reid Carrico.

i know Ironton has a kid that plays OL that is getting a lot of attention from a lot of P5 schools
i can not remember his name and i think he will be a junior this year (maybe a soph)
