Does anyone know if there is a rule that you need to use a kicking block on extra points?

EDIT: Rule 2-24-4 For a Place Kick, the ball must be controlled on the ground or on a legal kicking tee by a teammate. In other words that official was incorrect. Last edited: Oct 18, 2016
