Gohmert is incredibly intelligent, a former judge. Franken is a hack idiot. Not even a good comedian.
Not sure what different states have to do with the fact that I believe Kid Rock to be much more intelligent than Franken. But yes, the Kid is from Michigan.
You can dislike Franken's politics if you like but the guy is obviously very intelligent. I'm not crazy (to put it mildly) about the increasing crossover between celebrity and politics but if it has to happen I prefer it happen with people like Al Franken rather than Kid Rock.
I took your post to mean Rock would better running against Franken, but now I gather you were just speaking in general.
Like I say, dislike his politics if you want, but he's intelligent. Counter him with an intelligent celeb from the right if celebs must be involved.
OP, how can you claim Franken is intelligent? I watch him and he seems as stupid as a slug. His questioning of Gorsuch was painful to watch if I were a Dem.
I admit that comedians are normally very bright (Jon Stewart and Dennis Miller for example), but Franken is not in their league, intellectually.

Harvard doesn't admit dummies either and Al Franken was admitted to and graduated from Harvard. Again, that's not an endorsement of his politics but Franken obviously has smarts.

I honestly would love to see Kid Rock nominated as well as Ted Nugent and David Duke, oh wait, David Duke already ran.

It's all about ideology. Fraken is an idiot. The ideas he does have are very, very far left. I'd prefer someone with a better ideology, one that is better for the country. If the Franken's of this world get control of our government, we are in big trouble.
The Kid is a libertarian and understands the dangers of an overpowering government. Libs said Reagan was stupid. I'll take that kind of stupid 7 days a week and twice on Sunday. And you're right, he did not graduate from high school. Had a very, very tough upbringing. Maybe we need ordinary Americans to play a bigger role in our government. It is so out of touch today. Diversity, right?
Saul Alinsky is an acclaimed academic and I would not want him any where near the wheels of power in government. And he is smarter than both of them.

I do care more about ideology. Intelligence is nothing if your ideology is wrong (I'm sure Stalin was a brilliant man as was Hitler, for example). Carter was brilliant, but a terrible President with an ideology and view of the world that was dangerous. Reagan was never considered brilliant, but he had the right ideas, the right ideology (in my opinion), the right leadership skills, the correct view of the world and was a great President.
Heck, Obama was a smart guy. But zero private industry experience. No leadership background. And his policies were very poor both domestically and internationally, again in my opinion. So yes, ideology matters a great deal.
You have to have some sort of intelligence and education to be a senator . Otherwise it's a joke which kid rock would certainly be . If he was a democrat you would be saying the same .
Again, it was either Franken or kid rock. I prefer kid rock based on his ideology. Franken is a joke and a far left loon. He is a sure vote for any liberal policy the Democrats can come up with. Intelligence isn't everything. I still believe ideology is much more important.
