I've been pondering about posting this since Monday. As most of you I my left kidney is functioning at about 33 per cent. This is because one of my MRI's showed there is scare tissue that is causing a blockage. I have had about 4 or 5 PCN exchanges due to leakage , wrong tube and twice coming completely out. These tube to help get my kidney ready for reconstructive surgery to remove the scar tissue and open the blockage and restore the flow of my urine. Monday I had an x-ray right before an appointment with my surgeon. When I met with him he showed me x-ray and proceeded to tell me that he could not see any scar tissue or blockage and was not going to consider any type of surgery at this time. He did however say that he wanted to make sure so the plan for now is to go 3 months, get another x-ray, tube exchange and meeting with him again. If the results are the same I will have the option of having the tube removed and begin full recovery and a normal life. I ask him why and he couldnt explain it. I don't really understand it either other than I'm grateful for all the thoughts and prayers that have been sent my way. I will let you guys know in 3 months. OFC
