Ross Dellenger reporting Florida has moved on to other candidates & Mississippi is searching for a replacement. If he’s reporting it I believe it.

Kiffin will probably throw the game and lose just so it makes the departure easier come Saturday.

Well according to all the geniuses here on the board ….this was the absolute worst year to hire a new coach. Sounds like we’ll get to see how it plays out.

Looks like Okie St is hiring North Texas coach. So sadly we can put those Lebby to OSU rumors to bed for good.

I will say that LSU putting all their baggage in the Lane Train with absolutely no talk of anyone else, does lean toward the deal already being done. Either that or LSU will be the entire laughing stock as well as way behind the 8 ball with Signing Day coming up and possible no coach to handle it!

OH, the top few will be ok, it's what was left behind that will wonder what the hell happened.

OM has to due their due diligence of gauging interest of other coaches, in the event Lane leaves. This will become a yearly occurrence for them.

Pat I love you, but this day and age … don’t believe until it’s done. This BS now days in college football … I mean … it’s anybody’s guess. Hope your right though.

Nothing coming out of LSU regarding who they’re talking to etc. That’s a loud silence to me.
And what’s sad .. is Lame leading this entire domino effect? Granted .. I’d be going after him, but … wow … no one trying to steal the Oregon coach … no throwing money to steal JS from TN? Notre Dame coach … why is he not being courted? Maybe they are … but ARK… was that the hire they needed … time will tell.

LSU officially terminated Kelly. Paying him full $54M over 6 years. He's got to be a coach somewhere though.

So by them firing him, he can go coach somewhere else now? Not being cute just curious. Not sure how these damn contracts work now.

Why does he have to be a coach somewhere?
Exactly, if I had $54 MIL buried in a coffee can in my back yard no way on God's green earth I'd get back into the rat race of begging 18yr olds to come hang out with me and to go to class, not get DUIs, to not sexually assault anyone, not get caught with weed or worse, not shoot somebody, etc, etc, etc. And oh yeah WIN MFers!

Its in his contract. He has to mitigate his damages by using good faith and due diligence to find football related employment at the college or pro level....and whatever money he earns essentially goes straight to LSU.

Franklin saved Penn State $41 MM by signing with VA Tech
