So, Kiffin wants to accept the LSU job. But he also wants to coach Miss in the playoffs. If Miss wont let him do it, he is threatening to gut Miss’ remaining staff now, before the playoffs. Basically telling his assistants that if they want to join him at LSU, they need get on a plane with him today and there won’t be a spot for them later. Unless he can coach for Miss in the playoffs while he is recruiting for LSU.

And if Kiffin does gut the coaching staff, the CFP should leave Miss out entirely. Just like FSU a couple years ago, they are not the same team. Precedent.
Completely agree. That bowl game should’ve had the ability to break their contract with Florida State for that game. What a disaster.

Assuming the LSU thing is a dun deal, once again we see the "Can't believe (insert program name here) fired (insert any coach's name here), nobody will want that job now..." fall flat.

There’s no way he can be allowed to coach Ole Miss into the playoffs. It is an absurd idea on so many levels.

Yes, and no. Don’t for a moment think these guys are unaware of the landscape of college football. You’re basically coaching one year at a time. The team has done so well that those guys are all very employable.
Does Ole Miss have an OL coach with some dudes willing to follow him? Just asking for a friend.

He is offering high paid gigs...if they don't want it, he is going to fill his open spots with other guys. That is sort of just how it goes in all jobs.

If anything, he made it easy for them.

Couple things
1. Any fan that thinks these coaches are there to "shape young men" and to "build leaders" and blah blah blah, are morons. They are just like anyone else, they care about themselves and their family first and a distant second is anyone on the team.
Machiavelli posited that people are primarily motivated by their own personal gain and are greedy for power, property, and status. This is 100% true and it doesn't make you a bad person to look out for yourself and family first. (Yes I copied that from the world wide web)
2. I will never fault a person for doing what they think ie best for them.
3. It is important to remember that the coaches, none of them, care about the the fans, if anything, they dislike us and that is okay. We annoy them.

How can you say that? He’s doing what is best for his bank account. Period. He’s winning at Ole Miss already.
If he wanted to do that he should have stayed at Ole Miss.

Time will tell if he can deliver them a ring. He will be without excuses though. Louisiana is the most talent rich state in America with some of the best booster support.
