Not saying Lane won't accept one of these openings, but he has a daughter and a son in school @ Oxford. Daughter is ole ms and son is on the football team Oxford H.S.
He's been trying way too hard to be as clever and funny as Spurrier lately. I'm guessing Florida based on that sad little schtick alone

This sounds like the wishcasting from the OM boards😂

College coaches chasing titles arent exactly notorious for staying in one location once their kids are in school.

Florida has high schools too. Most even have football teams. And I doubt ole miss will kick his daughter out.

He’s gone. Just a matter of Baton Rouge or Gainesville.

Even If he does leave OM and they become a crappy program again. We won’t take advantage of it. So who cares?

I would love to be wrong and we start to become the better program in the state. I just don’t see Lebby taking us there, or his replacement being a slam dunk hire

What would that matter? Lots of coaches have kids in school where they are and still leave. Tubberville was going to leave Oxford in a pine box, remember? If a bigger, better program truly wants Kiffin, he's gone, regardless of his kids. Do I think he's leaving? I don't have a clue. But I bet the women folk in Oxford are working overtime stroking Kiffin's ego to try and make sure he stays.

Lane leaving would be good for us only in it would really humble OM fans. ..and maybe lessen their recruiting haul each year. But I don't see any gap closing until State fans get serious about football and our recruiting improves.

As for them, I would expect them to replace him with a decent enough coach. They have money. They may not be a playoff team but would still be an above average team.

As for Kiffin, he would be a fool to not strike when he is in demand. He has his picks of college and nfl jobs. That could change next year.

his kids, his son is receiving offers from other lesser schools and visiting lsu and Alabama. if his dad was the coach... he may get his lsu or Florida offer.

Don't forget he's with his ex again. You don't think she wants him out of town where he's been slamming the local coeds (which is actually true).

It wouldn’t help us. But it would hurt them. Therefore I hope he leaves. I’d rather we hire a coach that good ourselves though.

My battered Bulldog syndrome tells me, we lose the egg bowl. Kiffin stays at OM. Lebby is hired away in the domino effect of the coaching carousel. Haha.

:ROFLMAO: I just realized how GenesPagey it sounds. Probably should've posted there tbh.
you know @BulldawgFan you are a straight stand up guy for that admission........

I wanted to remark on how cheesy a post that was, and who gives a rip about what happens to UM, and just outright act a total A**.....but, you called yourself out, and that is solid work

Other than the above, UM has had it made for several years it seems, but / and, I don't think Kiffen is leaving at all

Truth hurts, I know

I don't give 2 runny shitts about where Lane Kiffin lives, coaches, or who he screws in the back hall of the hair salon on West Jackson Street (it's the place where the weekend sorority moms get their weave touchups). I would never give a F who OM's coach is, if it didn't affect us.

However, as I've said before, I live by the timeless adage, "17 OLE MISS". Therefore, anything bad for them is good for us. Which is why I wish them nothing but the worst in life... on the athletic fields and in the nicest, most Christian way possible of course.

They feel the same, by the way, don't fall for their high and mighty fake bullshiit that they don't care what we do. Kiffin still tries to troll us every chance he gets and they laugh. They're in the mentions of every post Brandon Walker makes because they just can't stand us getting any perceived positive publicity. You saw them jump on and expand every rumor that Mullen was leaving every year. That was really bad for our program.

So whether Rain Man bolts for Florida, LSU, Miami, or not at all, any chaos, confusion, or distraction for the Rebs these discussions cause is a good thing for us and I enjoy it immensely.

Which is why I posted the honest truth about my discussion with him in the Cordova Costco. I can't help what the man said about his family looking at houses in Pennsylvania.

Correct. My two oldest live in different cities from me. We still are able to communicate and love each other.

In fact, they would love it if I called and told them I have a new $15M per year opportunity in a better city.

Isn't his daughter dating an LSU student? If she bolts for LSU and they throw the cash he'll be there. AFA LSU, Auburn, Florida being better jobs I would say they are. Auburn 's hatred for Alabama means $ for a coach. LSU and Florida are more recognizable programs with big money boosters willing to go all in for the right coach. Gainesville versus Oxford? Do I even have to ask?

Now I'm like an ole ms apologist or something?

What I see are a bunch of people scared of ole ms and Lane Kiffin.

I say we nutt up and start beating him and out-recruiting him....in the portal AND the high school ranks.

Ahh, I think you’re onto something. I’m emailing Lebby, Selmon, and Keenum right now and telling them they need to try to NUTT UP and start beating other teams and out recruiting them.

I bet they’ve never even considered this groundbreaking idea! 🤣 It’s so simple it’s sure to work!
