After reading the article Engie referenced ...

it could be the same sort of red herring as when the OM guy tweeted that Dan was being interviewed by Colorado, and cited radio station KGNU as a source. It wasn't true, but at the time sounded viable to many.

Nah - This one is catching on with the Roussell brothers**

Sources: Kliff Kingsbury has emerged as leading coaching candidate at Texas Tech. The 33-year-old is former Red Raiders QB. (via <s style="text-decoration: initial; color: rgb(102, 181, 210);">@</s>schadjoe)

Agree, this will have an affect on aTm's offense. I want Kingsbury if Mullen ever left and I'm glad Mullen is staying so next best thing is to get Kingsbury out of the SEC West.

He was the #1 guy I'd want if we ever needed a coach, so I hate to see him a take a job that he won't leave for us.

But obviously I'm glad he's out of the division.

Tubs left Raiders for Cincinnatti with a doubtful future but Kingsbury wouldn't think of leaving a B12 team for the SEC. Timing is everything but I think you are way discounting the value of a SEC HC job.

That's Kevin Sumlin's offense so it won't have much effect on Texas A&M. Kingsbury calls the plays and is very involved but he's running Sumlin's offense. His role was much like Koenning's in our offense.

It might be Sumlin's offense but Kingsbury has been running it since Houston 2010. I think MSU is a better job than Texas Tech. Tubberville just left that job for Cincinnati. Something is fishy in Lubbock.

You realize Sumlin is a defensive coach right? His teams have always been great offensively because of the staffs he's had in place. If you think Kingsbury leaving won't make a difference, think again buddy.

You realize Sumlin has never coached a defensive position in his life and was the OC at aTm and the Co-OC at OU...

He played there. He's a legend there. He won't leave, except maybe for an elite job.

I think A&M will take a step back next year. They're losing 3 first-round draft picks, two of which are on the OL, and I'm sure losing Kingsbury will have at least a small effect.

That said, they will thrive in the SEC and be one of the elite teams within 5 years.
