not a big surprise. Can understand him wanting more playing time which doesn't look like it is in the cards here. Thanks and good luck wherever he ends up.

Good for him. Too bad tir McCabe he chose huggins, he deserved better, Matthews looks like he's shooting an ISIS video, oscar kane the wrong choice should have gone to Kansasz and Culver has regressed every week all year. Hell 2 of the top scorers and top shooter in jr college cant even hit the rim any more. But I'm sure if 5 leave it will all them nothing to do with coaching staff at all

Knapper's injury put him way behind and he never really caught up. The new guards are way ahead of him and they will shoot better next year now that they have had a year in Power 5. McCabe may or may not leave, but I think his weaknesses are evident and the game is too fast for him. Unless he gets it over the summer, he will be a harler type player who plays sparingly. If Culver leaves, he will be replaced by Cottrill and may anyway. Oscar needs seasoning and I think he knows that.

McCabe will go nowhere. So people need to quit getting their hopes up on that. The kid is here to stay. IMO.

He may stay, but i don't change from my opinion. He is not good defensively, and does not make great decisions because his thoughts are too slow and the defense figures it out. He seems to be a great kid and always roots for his team mates no matter what. (like harler). I don't think we have a point guard right now. We have several 2s but not a true one. Maybe one develops over the summer and maybe McCabe develops over the summer to be that guy. Time will tell.

I have said the same for sometime on McCabe. He is a role player

Talking about poor defense and not talking about mcbride is like talking about sunlight without mentioning the sun, that kid also has no thought process so he just shoots all the time and can only dribble with 1 hand, both things that defenses also figured out, big time

I'm sure you we're a much better freshman player in college basketball. Or was that middle school?

Yup the kid has no potential at all.

I'll take knapper over McBride 17 days a week. You can put a video out for about any player at all. "Potential"????? You mean the best player on the team superstar??? Who went 6 weeks shooting 19 percent, doesnt pass, cant shoot, CAN NOT GO LEFT, my god theres potential or developmental but its major college and you're a guard, if you're 1 handed you dont belong. And the WORST on the ball defender I've ever seen Huggs let play.

And how great was he down the stretch,.where technically you're not a freshman anymore? Heck even just Feb. 5 on he was 30-84, a turnover machine that usually gets credited to the big men, but it's his passes, pathetic defense, he floats off his man to try and get a steal because even he knows.he cant guard anybody. Sad this his stats are better than his actual performance, most of his stats would come after we were in control and he would get his points in garbage time, and dont even get started on the out of control dribble to the paint and eventually fall down crap. I told you clowns he starts playing him 25 minutes a game were nowhere near a final four even contender, and what happened?? Against Baylor he was pitiful, fouls, turnovers, poor shooting, getting DESTROYED of the bounce and people on here were all, "we're not even in this game without McBride", but yeah ok you have a dam clue lmao

You'd take Knapper over McBride because your unbridled hatred of Ohio blinds you from reality. You have destroyed any credibility that you had left with your post above.

I think Knapper cracked under the pressure of tough coaching, competition, and that losing spell. Knapper showed signs, so I think there is potential if he gets in the right situation but one of the three point guards needed to go. His confidence was shot in the end. Youngstown State?[/QUOTE]

With the leadership coming back next year and new talent coming in. It could be a great one. Safe to say it’s a loaded team

He's not wrong. The coming 2020-21 season will be loaded with talent. What happens with said talent is unknown at this point.

When I saw Gabe diving for loose balls and starting breaks passing belly flat from the floor, I knew he was here for good. I hated to see Knapper go, but he's spent a year and a half here and has never gotten better.

Did any of you ever hear what his injury was? One of his relatives did something to a knee while a UNLV in early 80's and came back to play a season or so in the WVAIC.

It seems to me the Knapper's were related to the Easley's. Large, fast folks.
