We don't need Knox. Hopefully he goes elsewhere so we can get back to playing inside out. Bolden and Carter with 2 scorers and a true point guard around them. We may have to do the 3 guard lineup but that's ok with those two big bodies in there

I don't think last minute visits that are two hours long or 5 minutes long mean anything. If I remember correctly, Barnes was a heavy Duke lean and he Skyped Roy. If it's been Duke all along last night wasn't going to change his mind.

Each school has a prime time SF on there roster now but compared to how Duke showcases it's SF more effectively than UNC over the years. It's Jackson junior year and Tatum only a freshman. But Tatum is at that level now. FSU also has a good chance with Bacon and Issac are both who Knox is watching how he fits the offense. Duke is right there
tatum has played out of positon at power forward all year kennard has played the small forward

What do we really know though? All the info a few years ago about Ingram was so pro UNC. Most, including me, thought he was going to UNC.

I do think Knox will go to UNC but I have to admit him making a trip to DUKE today and having a 2 hour meeting with the staff is something I can't wrap my head around. Tell the staff thank you but no thank you? Asking the staff specific questions on how they would play him using examples from yesterday's game? ...

Knox is not Tatum, Ingram or Parker as a shooter, but could impact the team and develop his shooting much like Justise.
Jake you need to get back on premium, the chatter there wasn't Ingram to UNC. If the rest of you are interested in recruiting I would suggest joining DI as well, we have some good insiders with very good intel. I put 0 faith in the crystal ball or national recruiting "insiders" who are at best guessing most of the time.

I used to be a prem member but I can't swing it right now. I have other resources I can go to. I am the college placement director for student athletes thus I do get info too just not to the level of insiders.

Bossi I do trust

if so then i wish him the best....must mean he has or will have a 1st round guarentee

I also believe Kennard is gone to the NBA. Knox is becoming a strong UNC lean it appears from those with insider info. Next year's team will be very weak if Duke misses on DuVal as well. ESPN reports he really likes Arizona. Really can't stand another season without a point guard, hope the staff can get Trevon to come, he is really needed badly.

That's fine if Luke leaves as well. We just need Duval BAD. A lineup of Duval, Jackson, Trent, Carter, and Bolden would be perfect. True point guard with two explosive wing scorers and two bigs would be beautiful. Jack, Javin, McConnell, and another big coming off the bench would be perfect balance. Knox coming will make coach K get small ball crazy again. Wendell Carter can hit the mid range. We're good then

I would be shocked if Bolden is back. We will be really thin next year as in 5 guys thin.

I hope we get one of Luke or Grayson. I feel we will, but nothing is certain. That team looks good on paper with Duval, but they need an upperclassmen to lead them that's battled an ACC schedule.

Without Duval that team on paper is going to struggle. This below does not look good.
Jackson
Trent
O'Connell
Javin
Jeter
Carter

You're too caught up in positions by numbers. The game has changed. Luke has been a wing and Jayson a wing forward. Neither have been out of position.

Don't forget about grad transfers, either. There's going to be some pretty good one's available.

Grayson and Bolden return.
I hope your are correct, but I have a feeling you are not. Grayson will graduate and either enter the draft or move on and play somewhere else and I cannot say that I blame him. The media has made his life a living hell and I feel really bad for the kid. Bolden will be a D league player next year as will Giles.
Next years roster will look much, much different.

It's definitely possible especially if he doesn't get good feedback from the league. I still think he goes but definitely unclear as of now.
Just my prediction based on Grayson's personality and my best guess as to his draft value.

And Berry could leave as well so the friendship if their is one won't matter. Jackson, Meeks, Hicks, and Britt are gone that's half their team that plays. So why come back and rebuild. It would be different if had some recruits coming in. But as of now it's Berry, Pinson, Felton and Bradley. So it's tough to come back last year for that unless he does go there. Still that's not a scoring lineup at all.

Yeah Joel probably isn't leaving from what little I've heard. He's not on a whole lot of draft boards. And Woods is still probably another year away from being able to handle the point.

I hope Bolden is here next year but I sure wish he'd have gotten more burn this year....even if he took his lumps...tough league to learn and produce in at the same time.

Next years team sounds like is in the air from reading posts here. Sounds like Duke could be really good or if Duke misses on a PG and a couple unexpectedly leave or transfer could just be mediocre at best. Personally I feel the PG position is absolutely a nessessity to run Coach K's offense the way he likes to play.

Next year's team will be interesting as will the ACC as a whole. I think it will be even stronger than this year. That's why I hope we get at least one of Grayson or Luke back.

Last year we were looking at a pipeline of 3 straight top recruiting classes and hopefully a string of Final 4's. Now we are potentially looking at at least 2 straight mediocre seasons. Something has to change.

If Grayson does come back and Kennard is gone, Grayson could be the "Man" again as he was in 2016.

Although this year isn't over I do hope the coaches make some adjustments. With the amount of turnover year to year they need to play more guys to help keep their depth and long run players. Also from a more strategy perspective the defense needs more focus or adjustments.

Agreed, I do not like the one and done players. We can have the same mediocrity we have seen the last 2 years by recruiting 3 and 4 star players that are program guys. When they get to be seniors we would have something special much like Villanova is seeing now. I think our defensive efficiency has been hurt by the one and done. It take time to develop communication and with the one and done you do not get that time. I know everyone on here is going to say something about the class of 15 freshman, in my opinion those kids were an exception to the rule.

I agree but my only knock would be if Harry, Tatum, and Giles were healthy at the beginning of the season. When they actually started playing Duke was playing the Middle School type teams. I also understand they should be coming into their own now but when you go from 0 activity to playing better schools I think it takes longer than it would of you warmed up to playing the smaller schools. I believe that IF everyone were to return next year healthy then there is 100% guarantee we win it all next year.
