for the UT job. Okay, they chose Dooley over Whittingham? Surely Whittingham turned them down?? How dumb can UT be?

he will be much better than Crooms or Orgeron ever thought about
So would an average ninth grader plucked from a public school physical education class. That isn't saying much.

Sure he could be good, but when you are Tennessee and willing to pay 3-4 million, you really shouldn't have to hope your coach turns out to be good. You also shouldn't have to hire a coach that just went 4-8 in the Wac.

I think that is my whole point, could Dooley be great, sure he could work out perfectly. The problem is, his track record is 17-20 and coming off a 4-8 season. Why should UT be the test case for Dooley. Shouldnt he have to prove himself somewhere?

Basically the two things he has going for him, (1) He is young (2) His last name is Dooley.

Nevada went 15-11 the last two years, what about their coach? Idaho went 8-5 and beat La Tech? Utah State went 4-8, but they were able to handle La Tech, so that should give their coach the tiebreaker. Of course I have no idea who these three school's coach is because none of there Dad's coached at UGA and coached Hersheal Walker, too bad, if they had, they would probably have the UT job right now.

or just 1 game above .500 that might mean more. It doesn't mean he won't do well, but he is definitely not a proven commodity for a program on Tenn level. These are two subpar hires in a row. Why is Tenn not able to do better?
