Although boneheaded decisions would have kept him from doing great, even croom got 7 wins off of a good defense. I love the fact people are doggin on us when they don't know **** about our program. Us, UM, UK, Ark are all about even on facilities and recruiting. I would even go so far to say the MS schools have a better advantage having a better talent pool to recruit from. Most national reporters just read 10 or 15 year old reports about how ****** Starkville is and how hard it is to win.
both Knute (Rockne) and Bear Bryant are DEAD. They couldn't win at Bama. Rockne might give us more offense though.
any dead coach can win anywhere. State has had some good seasons, one great one (we were screwed in the SECC Game) and I believe that the dogs will rise again!
It is completely possible to win at Mississippi State because it's possible for anybody, anywhere to build a winning football program if they're good, and to suck if they're not.
Alabama should be extremely #@$%!+@ easy to turn into a powerhouse, but it was miscoached for years. Tennessee went stagnant. MSU will have a harder time reaching Nick Saban kind of success because MSU doesn't have the prestige to hire Nick Saban coaching talent. But while I think Petersen stays at Boise St, I also think State is capable of hiring a coach on his level, or Houston Nutt's. I don't predict State will win the SEC West on a consistent basis, it's already been proven that they can. The assertion that Knute couldn't win is assinine.

i think you're right jeffy. people from other places say we can't and some people were saying the samething about ole miss last year. hell kansas state won the big 12 in freaking manhattan, ks.
