Somebody isn't telling the truth... I think Kodi kicked Stans kids and cussed out Meo, now he has made nice and is playing again..
Our is the fact that Stans fell in love with the 4 guard gimick lineup and would no change after we got hot and shot over 40% from 3 land and won a few games..
You make the call..

OXFORD - Reserve forward Kodi Augustus continued his recent renaissance, scoring 13 points and grabbing seven rebounds in 20 minutes during Mississippi State's 82-80 win at Ole Miss.

Augustus scored nine points in 15 minutes against Florida Wednesday in Starkville. Prior to that, he hadn't scored since Feb. 18 and hadn't dented double figures since a 16-point performance in a loss to Texas Tech Nov. 29.

Shortly thereafter, he was relegated to the bench and went a five-game span without even playing.

"You sit there long enough, and you want to play bad enough, you're going to eventually start doing the things you have to do to play," State coach Rick Stansbury said.

But Augustus bristled at the notion that he underwent a change in attitude.

"I never had an attitude," Augustus said. "As a player, who likes sitting on the bench? I'm on the bench. I don't think I had an attitude, change in attitude. Just, he put me in. That's the only thing different. I'm getting involved, so it makes me feel better."

his PT has nothing to do with him getting his **** straight. That's right, Kobi, your attitude was never the problem. It was all Stans' fault. Uh-huh.

Whatever.

OK, so we all know the backstory on Augustus: Guy starts the first nine games, plays in the tenth, then misses five straight as he appears to be in coach Rick Stansbury's doghouse. He plays sparingly, then is a key reserve in the final two games of the season.

"I was baffled," Augustus said. "I didn't know what was going on. I didn't question anybody's decision. Obviously, the coaches must have thought they'd be better going small with four guards. That's what they wanted to do and they did it. Unfortunately, it was my spot. I didn't think I deserved it, but that's what happened."

Augustus said he's tried to be respectful of the decision and that he's tried not to let it affect his work ethic. Teammates who came into the media room for interviews later backed him up on that. Stansbury said Augustus' attitude has been good throughout this, but his work ethic has changed. And changed for the better.

"I've been sitting all year. It's just when I try to go out there, I just try to add to and just play hard. Make the best of it and show the coaches like 'Hey, why you haven't been playing me?' This is what you've been missing."
