Heard some positive news regarding Kodi today. A few days ago I told yall that he had told one of my close friends that he was for sure gone. But after our recent run and his recent success, he told the same person that now he is gonna have to think about leaving or staying. This definitely doesn't mean he is for sure staying, but it is much better info than what we were hearing last week. This run is doing wonders for our team, and next year could be something special.

proof positive that Kodi is staying, but he looked as much a part of the team as anyone during both the LSU and UT games. I sat right behind our bench for both games and he was cheering his teammates, running off the bench to meet the guys on the floor after we made plays to force timeouts byJohnson or Pearl and showed emotion just like everyone else. After the dog pile yesterday he grabbed one of the big SEC signs and ran over to hold it up in front of the fans and had a huge smile on his face the whole time. He may still transfer be he sure didn't act like a guy who had his mind made up to transfer and was simply punching the clock waiting for his time as a Bulldog to be over.

Also, it seems obvious that his teammates like him based on their comments in the paper recently so this isn't a Robert Jackson type scenario. I have to believe the guys coming back realize what they can accomplish next year and will have a much a role in talking Kodi into staying as the coaching staff.

To me, he seems like the reincarnation of Charles Rhodes as far as attitude. Like Rhodes, he seems to be in his own world a lot of the time. Hopefully, he'll finish out his career like Rhodes did, except maybe without the terrible first halves of Rhodes' junior and senior seasons.

Well think overall Kodi has the ability to be way better than Charles Rhodes. Kodi can hit every shot on the floor with regularity where as Charles who's range was about 14 to 15 feet and even that was a stretch sometimes. Kodi's defense especially on the weak side has improved alot, and his rebounding was great in the tournament, especially in the championship game. He got some very tough contested rebounds. He is a great talent and I hope he stays.

Kodi is much more mobile and a better ball handler, but he's got nothing on charles down low. They're really two totally different types of players. Better outside shooter and more versatile definately. But Rhodes was a beast down low. When he was on there was simply no stopping him on the block. Of course when he wasn't... you might forget he was there.

There is no doubt that Kodi has the talent to be great. He had a awesome game against South Carolina and played well in the other games. He is aggressive and I like that but from what I saw in the other games (not including SC) this weekend he was out of control sometimes when he took the ball to the hole and ended up getting a dumb off charging foul. He just needs to learn how to control his energy and play a little smarter on both off.& def and he will be great. I hope he stays around as well. I'm also looking to see more out of Osby next year. I think Bost is going to be our stud of the future though. He has the speed of gary ervin and the passing ablity of a timmy bowers.
